Colorful Clockwork Cozy

Colorful Clockwork Cozy By Retrobaby, Norway

A quick way to brighten up a dull wall clock in no time:

This isn’t as much a pattern as a guide and an inspiration, as the pattern is ridiculously easy. The suggested yarn is what I used myself, and it can easily be replaced with (almost) any other yarn of your choice. Instructions: CO 16 stitches, or as many st as you need to cover the frame of your closk. Work in garter st, changing colors whenever you like, until strip measures about 76 cm unstretched (for a clock that’s 30 cm in diameter), or as long as you wish (measure on the clock along the way). Sew the two short edges together to form a circular band. Crochet in sc around the edge that shows on the front (my crochet is done in brown). Put on the cozy, pull a thread through the edge at the back, and tighten. You could also do the same with the front edge if it looks sloppy.

Happy knitting, and remember to add your cozy to the Ravelry pattern page! Here's the 'before' picture:

Strip finished:

Tightening the back:

And best of all: No threads needed fastening, I just tucked them underneath the edge..
