Comic Com this weekend. Fanboys and fangirls are invited to get their geek on in preparation of the big event during this special edition pub crawl, which takes place on Thursday, Nov. 20, starting at The Brew Brothers inside the Eldorado Casino Resort, 345 N. Virginia St. The crawl will include seven to 10 bars and clubs in downtown Reno, as well as $3 drink specials, no cover charge, costume contests and more. Painting the West
Stremmel Gallery presents this landscapes exhibition featuring work by Nevada artists Jean LeGassick, Craig Mitchell, Charles Muench and Jeff Nicholson. The plein-air painters will exhibit works depicting the varied landscapes of our region, including the Great Basin, Sierra and other areas of Nevada. The opening reception is from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. The show will continue through Dec. 20. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays. Admission is free to the opening reception and the exhibition. Lake Mansion Jingles with Art & History
VSA Nevada offers its annual holiday event and family festival featuring eight hands-on art workshops, visits with Santa Claus (parents are encouraged to bring their cameras), storytelling and tours of the Lake Mansion, which was built in 1877. There will also be a wide selection of arts and crafts for sale. The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at VSA Nevada at Lake Mansion, 250 Court St. Admission is free. Downtown Reno Ice Rink at Aces Ballpark
The outdoor ice skating rink, a.k.a. Rink on the River, moves from Reno City Plaza to the baseball park this winter. The rink opens on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and operates Monday through Sunday, depending on ice and weather conditions. Holiday hours vary. The ballpark is located at 250 Evans Ave. Admission is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for seniors age 55 and older and children ages 3-12. Skate rental is $2.50. Call 334-7000 or visit www.renoaces.com.

Broadway Comes to Reno continues its 20142015 season with the Tony Award-winning musical that tells the story of the rock and pop band The Four Seasons, who shot to fame during the early 1960s. Members Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi were four young men from New Jersey who became one of the greatest successes in pop music history, selling 175 million records worldwide while they were still in their 20s. Jersey Boys, winner of the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, features their hit songs “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,”“December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 25-26; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27-28; and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 29, at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, 100 S.
