About the Author Martin Lang was director of the Master’s Degree Program in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry and professor of Religious Studies at Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut, from 1971 to 2005. He is currently professor emeritus. Professor Lang holds a doctorate from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and he was a postdoctoral fellow at Yale Divinity School and at Union Theological Seminary-Jewish Theological Seminary, affiliates of Columbia University in New York City.
