Messages from the Graduating Batch
To Everyone
It’s been an amazing journey with the juniors and it was a fantastic one. I would like to convey one thing to my juniors, whatever opportunities you get go for it and if you don’t get the specified results no worries just focus on the next opportunity. Just trust your talent and be confident about your goals.

To all juniors, the college life you are living is a really memorable journey of yours and trust me, time never comes back. All I want to say is cherish your journey, your moments and leave all negative baggage inside the campus and step out freely. There is a world waiting for us to step in and make a change to it. Never lose hope and eagerness of making a difference from our existence.

“Life mein jitna bhi try karo, kuch na kuch toh chootega hi.”- Naina ne bola tha yaar aaj samajh me aaya. Felt these lines from YJHD realising that here we are at an end which we never expected. All the ifs and buts are left behind, all the wishes to defeat each other’s teams in Inter year, to play a match one last time, and to enjoy yet another inter NIT is behind us now. But what we have are the awesome memories we made, the love and care we have for each other, and the bonds that we created that will surely last a long time. Hoping that we all will meet soon someday and I’m sure we’ll have a good laugh going into flashbacks of how you guys were cheering from the bench during the games. Never give up on yourselves, you all are brilliant and it was an honor for us to be able to be a part of the same team as you all. We wish you guys the very best, and never stop ballin’ !

My message/ gyan is to all the outcasts, non- conformists, introverts, people living in the shadows. College will bring loneliness, creepy friends, dark days, but also heart connections and beautiful ideas. In the end college is just a graduate producing machine. Relax, search for your identity (if you must) and trust your ideas (if you don’t already).

The pandemic has been tough on all of us. It has taught us how to live through uncertain times. But on the other hand, it has also brought most of us into an even playground for opportunities. A student living in India has almost similar opportunities compared to a student living in the USA. I was lucky enough to get to utilize the opportunity for getting some international exposure through conferences and competitions in my Final Year. It is an opportunity worth the exploration. It’s okay to curse the online college situation, but one needs to remember that this time won’t come again, and one would be defined by the choices he/she makes.
I found that most SVNITians complete their tasks at the very last moment, even I was one of them but in the longer run, consistent and atomic efforts hold the key to success. Through my B.Tech, I have understood how vital Resilience and Persistence are for success. Having a belief in a particular idea and notion sounds inspiring but can be challenging to implement. However, these are the same qualities that could make the difference between a success and a failure.
Through my College years, I have been lucky enough to be a part of two wonderful student chapters-ChES and CEV. I have always believed that ChES is not just about Siphon; it represents much more than that. I want the juniors to continue this legacy forward, and I believe we all can do it. My journey in ChES has taught me the essential things about how a chapter actually runs, how a well-organized team could make a difference and how the outlook of a student chapter depends on the very members it has. It’s the members and not the positions that could make a difference.
Kudos to the team for conducting a really wonderful Siphon 6.0 in a unique online world. It would be true to say that CEV, CEV Seniors, and my fellow mates have been a massive part of my overall development as a person, student, and young professional. CEV has been one of the most active student chapters of our college, and the plethora of regular events that it has is proof of that. I wish CEV continues this legacy, and every member gets to benefit from the company of the members like the way I did.
I hope the situation gets better with time, and I get to meet all of you—Best of luck to all my fellow graduating batch mates for their first leap in this professional world. Always keep hustling, keep exploring and enjoy the process!

The past year has been difficult for all of us in so many ways. We had to stay away from friends and miss all the fun we could’ve had. College gives us the best and the worst memories of our lives and somewhere in between we grow up. To all my juniors, please stay in contact with your seniors, batchmates, juniors etc. Join clubs, participate in events, and keep hanging in there, you have a lot to experience here. Renesa is family to me and I’m sure college wouldn’t be the same for me without it. Thanks for putting in efforts for this issue. Be safe and keep vibing!

I’ve heard people say, “These can only be called as one of the best days of this existence.” Mine were spent with you all, so true for me. You know it, we’ve spent a lot of time criticising the Institute. But I know it, if I was given another chance, I would have come back to the same place, to meet the most amazing people in you. The days and evenings will still go by, the old library stairs, the CRC lawns, the canteen cements, old CRC, seminar hall will all remain there, and the meetings, debates, quizzes, discussions, afterparties will still be the same. Just that, I’ll miss out on them. My days at the campus ended in March, 2020. But you all lightened them up even during the unbearable online semester. All these years of memories, and it comes down to one single message. I would have wished you all a lot, but saying, “May you get an offline semester soon” would be enough to break you into tears. May the cult flourish, you know what I mean. May the department keep solving it’s investigations. May the gingershots remain sacred. May the bond among members, the biggest strength of this club, keep getting stronger. And yes, when you finally execute the Daman plan, leave out the snakes who’ve already completed Goa. I’m glad I met you all, the most genuine people in the campus. Not a goodbye, this is a Thank you. I’m unwilling to leave it on any emotional note, so let’s share the FOMO. “It’s only a matter of little time before you too will graduate and leave. Long live beer glass emoji.

Please use these years wisely. I cannot emphasize enough on how important these years are. First, don’t ignore your academics. I am not saying make it your only priority in life, but at least give it the importance it deserves and try maintaining a decent GPA. After that, don’t hesitate to try new things. Join clubs, attend events and workshops, and learn new skills (whatever they may be). I gave much more importance to academics and didn’t indulge into club and social activities. And it was only after the lockdown that I realized how important those things are because apart from helping you find your passion, they help you build your personality. So, please use this platform and time to explore yourself and your surrounding.

Hey bro, you are an amazing person. Our lockdown friendship is much more crazy and fun than the college one. I love your shinchan voice and YouTube videos. Wish you all the very best for your future. Keep working hard.

Life will not give equal opportunity to everyone, but one thing in your hand is struggle, do as much struggle as you can but during that time enjoy each and every moment because you are gonna miss this journey, 4 year will fly away.
