MORSTEAD SUPPORTS ‘PLAY 60’ INITIATIVE AT MADISONVILLE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
n Tuesday, October 23 — two days after the team’s exciting 24-23 win at the Baltimore Ravens — New Orleans Saints P Thomas Morstead visited Madisonville Junior High School and its students as part of the Dairy Alliance’s “Fuel Up To Play 60” campaign. Morstead, a fifth round draft pick for the Saints in 2009, is the club’s leading punter in all categories and currently ranks among league leaders in net punting average in 2018. Meeting with the students in an assembly, Morstead shared background about his upbringing and his family’s emphasis on both athletics and academics, as well as talking about his journey to New Orleans and how he has sustained a successful ten-year career with no signs of slowing down. Following his discussion with the students, Morstead engaged them in some simple calisthenics, emphasizing
the importance of physical fitness, good eating habits and wellness at a younger age. Finally, on behalf of the Club and the NFL, he presented to Madisonville Junior
