Aloha and Ciao! In the last issue of Remembrance, we profiled LCDR Mike Genta, who served as the emcee for the virtual 79th Commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor. That story chronicling his family’s history to the attack is posted on our website. LCDR is now CDR Mike Genta. At a promotion ceremony on board the USS Missouri on March 4, Capt. Tom Gorey readministered the oath. Among the well-wishers was Genta’s nine year old daughter Zella. The Genta family will be leaving for Naples, Italy, where his next assignment will be the Protocol Branch Head for Joint Allied Forces Command. Congratulations CDR Genta and family.
