History & Growth of RE/MAX Preferred & RE/MAX International
The RE/MAX Preferred Story When Jim Beirne, with sale signs, integrity, and dedication in hand, opened the doors of Aron-Drex Realty (named for the trolley stops of Aronimink & Drexel Hill) back in 1945, he probably didn't know he was creating a long standing real estate tradition. In 1989, Jim established the first RE/MAX office in Delaware County, RE/MAX Aron-Drex. In 1994 he passed the torch on to his son, Dan, and partners, Michael D’Adamo and Michael Santoleri. While the new partners changed the company name to RE/MAX Preferred, and relocated to Newtown Square, they continued the standards and impeccable reputation that Jim Beirne had achieved. RE/MAX Preferred's relocation to Newtown Square was to geographically locate itself in such a manner as to allow the real estate professionals in the office to service Delaware, Chester, & Montgomery Counties. In addition, the move made it more convenient for our Delaware and New Jersey licensed agents to quickly access those states. RE/MAX Preferred’s offices are “state-of-the-art,” providing every training, marketing, advertising, research, and technology tool available, to effectively serve its customers, clients, and agents. At the turn of the century, because of lifestyle changes, Dan Beirne moved on to other areas of the Real Estate industry, giving Mike & Mike the opportunity to carry on the tradition. Under the new owners' leadership, the office has grown from 9 agents in 1994 to 29 agents in 2003, to 71 agents and two locations in 2008. That's 156 consecutive months of growth, with plans to continue this success by associating with the best and most productive agents in the business.

Once a month our agents participate in a S.W.A.T. Tour (Still Without A Taker). We meet at 10:00 AM, we get all of our S.W.A.T. Team Members in our vehicles and we head out to tour approximately 2-8 of our listings. At each property every agent fills out a detailed marketing profile about that home. At the conclusion of the tour we have a 30 minute debriefing (usually over lunch) where we discuss each property and the listing agent receives concrete, handwritten, constructive feedback on how to get the property SOLD.
