A few months later, Samantha shared her ideas with the community’s members. “We should do something more significant to others without leaving the world of fashion.” Later, NE2 initiated a charity event wrapped in fashion show; and Malam Kasih, literally meaning A Night of Love, was held at Pakuwon Imperial Ballroom on Oct. 28 this year. “Fashion is our choice for the theme of the event, as it reflects the passion for what we all have in common,” Natalia Cecilia Tanudjaja says. “And especially that four of us here have inked their names in the country’s fashion industry”, Fifi Indrawati adds, referring to Foneke Kho with her collections under the brand Foorie, Elizabeth Njo May Fen who owns the brand Ketique, Catherine Njoo with her
eponymous brand, and Lisa Gunawan who reached her fame in the modelling world from the 1970s to 2000s. The three brands: Foorie, Ketique and Catherine Njoo; along with those of renowned designers Deden Siswanto and Priska Henata, were showcased at Malam Kasih fashion show. All the proceeds from the show were donated to Breast Cancer Foundation and Yayasan Pondok Kasih to help the needy. Over dinner, after the photo session, Registry Indonesia gets to know all the seven of NE2 more up-close and personal, as these gorgeous ladies talk about the art of living in Surabaya’s high society.
