CLUB SPOTLIGHT: REGINA REPORT
by reginahs
By Greta Hellebuyck
In the past nine months, the Regina Reporters team has published the monthly Regina Report on the activities of Regina High School students, staff, and the wider community. The Regina Reporters is our school’s first newspaper in over forty years, a task that we took seriously. Sophomore, Sofia Switalski first brought the idea of the Regina Reporters to English teacher, Mr. Totten and Advancement Manager, Ms. Weick. With all their collective hard work the Report amassed nearly thirty members, from across all grade levels. Each member has written their own articles and brought their unique writing style and experiences to every edition of the Regina Report. Together the Report team has brainstormed for content such as student surveys, club highlights, teacher interviews, student poetry spotlights, and more. Our team spent a great deal of time working with one another and meticulously proof editing our articles so that they were perfect for the eyes of the entire Regina community. Every digital Regina Report spread was filled to the brim with student submitted photos that our team felt best mirrored our articles and the daily life of a Regina student. As a newer group, it has been amazing to see the overwhelming positive feedback from the readers of our articles. Our group’s success would not have been possible without the receptiveness of our current students, staff, and alumni. The team is so grateful for our moderators Mr. Totten and Ms. Weick for their continued knowledge and support for every article we constructed. Going forward, the Regina Reporters are anticipating the upcoming school year, in which we will ensure that Regina remains up to date with all of the thrilling aspects of life here at Regina High School.
