Regina’s newest Forensics Club is where students compete in public speaking and performative categories. Members have to prepare their speeches or perform a piece of literature, usually an excerpt of a book or some poems . The Forensics club engages students in public speaking and debate, sparks their creativity, and helps them to learn more about themselves. Juniors Aubriana Scott and Gisele Bourbeau are both award winning members of the Forensics Club, with both Aubriana and Gisele winning over 4 awards across the season. Together, the two of them have decided to share their experience. Gisele states that her favorite memory was, “When Aubriana and her duo partner Audrey received the 1st place ribbon, and a few hours after the competition she got a call stating they had got 2nd place.” Aubriana’s favorite speech is the one that she and her partner are working on, it is about Welfare. Their piece is called ‘The Final Placement’ and she believes that it is a very unique piece, and she cannot wait to present it. Moderator, and former Forensics state champion, Mr. Totten’s favorite memory was “Being able to judge some of the tournaments, and being able to watch the students compete.”
