CHAPTER 4: THE WATERLOO & CITY LINE
Now, this line has a main purpose which is to bring commuters from Waterloo station to Bank and it does it effectively, and the journey on average takes less than 4 minutes. This is why I like this line, first I quite like the robin's egg blue, that is the line's colour, and I also like that it is efficient and serves a direct purpose. It is also, as you guessed, the line with the lowest number of stops and is one of a few lines that are completely underground. First, we have Waterloo, which has a nice new design, but it is really a pain to get to from street level and it just needed to be designed better int that way. It is on a bridge, but it is tolerable, it is near quite a few hotels and a nice park. And finally, we have Bank, which has great access to the Mitherium, which was an ancient Roman temple discovered under London and has been created into an excellent museum. It is also near the Bank of England and the museum which is a must see if you are in London, it is an amazing museum. I won a Britannia pin there once for completing a quiz. It is also sort of twinned with Monument which is weird, some people consider them seperate and other people consider them as twinned, I see them as separate stations but that is just what I think. And there we have it, the two stations of the Waterloo & City line. If I was to give this line a score out of ten, I would give it an 8/10 because it is a great line with nice trains, a nice colour (which was, the colour of the prep school I went to, maybe that's why I love the colour so much) and it serves a main purpose which is great and it is a nice experience and everyone should experience this line for themselves.
