It’s one component of a two-part information package that also includes our Course Schedule. The Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) professional designation is the highest rung on the career ladder for Canadian cooks, representing an acknowledgment of skills and experience through participation in a training program. The Canadian Culinary Institute works jointly with colleges to deliver and evaluate course work to candidates. The requisite skills and knowledge are identified in the National Standards for Professional Cooks 1997. Upon successful completion of theory classes and practical exams, students will receive certification through the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks. rrc.ca/cua

General Part-time Program 1. FEES • Are shown in the Course Schedule.

2. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION

• Include a non-refundable $40 administration fee.

• Please make cheques payable to Red River College.

• Are GST-exempt for most courses.

• Post-dated cheques are not accepted.

• Fees and course details are subject to change.

• VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX are accepted.

Distance Delivery • Course fees include all costs (a nonrefundable $50 administration fee, course material, textbooks, long distance charges), unless otherwise noted. • Videos, loaner textbooks and/or readings, etc., are loaned to students and must be returned by the date noted when they are shipped. • Check the website for a course’s distance delivery method.

• Do not send cash by mail. • Cash and debit card payment accepted for in-person registration.

3. CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION • Mail, fax or voice mail registrations will be confirmed by telephone within three business days. • Registration receipts contain important information — including dates, times and location — and will be mailed. • Registration receipts will be included in course packages for students who have registered for distance delivery courses.

Classroom Delivery • Partial refunds are available for courses (17 hours or more) up to the day before the start of the second class. For workshops (16 hours or less), partial refunds are available eight days prior to the first class. Distance Delivery • Partial refunds are available if your request is made within 10 days from the start of course. • Refunds will be processed when your entire course package is received in its original condition. Material must be returned within two business days of the request. Refund amount will be the course fee less the following (where applicable): › Cost of any portion of course package (including textbooks, materials, videotapes, readings, etc.) not returned in their original condition › Cost of shipping

4. REFUND POLICY • If you wish to drop your course and still be eligible for a refund, requests must be submitted in writing within timelines identified below. Drop/withdrawal forms are available through the RRC Portal (go.rrc.ca/studentinfo/Forms), or email your request to cde@rrc.ca.

GENERAL REFUND INFORMATION • Refund policies are available at rrc.ca/coned. • Refunds will be issued in the same form as payment; cash refunds and debit card purchases will be paid by cheque. • All refund requests are processed through a centralized system. Approved refunds will be processed within 15 business days. • Original receipts must be presented for refund requests of non-tuition items (parking, fitness classes, tests, etc.).

6. WITHDRAWAL POLICY • If you wish to withdraw from your course (after refund deadlines) you must submit your request, in writing, a minimum of three weeks prior to the original end date of your course and before writing the final exam. Forms are available through the RRC Portal (go.rrc.ca/studentinfo/Forms), or send an email request to cde@rrc.ca.

7. DISTANCE DELIVERY EXTENSION POLICY • If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you cannot complete your self-directed course by the designated end date (identified on your Registration Statement), you may request an eight-week extension of your studies, with payment of $75. You must make these arrangements three weeks prior to the course end date; there is only one extension allowed per course. Extensions are not available for term courses and workshops. If you have purchased an extension, you will not be eligible to withdraw from the course.

8. COURSE CANCELLATIONS • The College reserves the right to cancel a course. • Unforeseen events may require a course cancellation. • Notification of changes to course schedule or cancellations will be sent via email to your preferred email account.
