1999 Jan. - The ultra trick XLR8R frame goes into production and becomes one of the most sought-after frames of the year. Super lightweight, extremely strong, and extra long!
Feb. - Never one to forget their roots: Redline’s FS-880 features some of the retro styling of the RL-20 II, with a twin top tube that wraps around the headtube. "Squareback" rear chain stays also make a comeback on all of their frames.
Mar. - To put an end to busted gears, Redline creates the Flight II gear, with extra support in between the classic four arm design.
Sept - Interbike Show: Redline debuts the 2000 line, starring a chromoly John Purse "Signature Series" line of bikes, as well as the "Dually" -a dual slalom specific machine.
Nov. - Redline calls a press conference to announce the signing of 14 year old amateur sensation Bubba Harris for the new millenium, and Redline legend Stu Thomsen makes a comeback in his familiar colors and stomps his Grands comp. The Redline trio is dubbed as the past, present and future of Pro BMX. One time Redline Pro Turnell Henry is inducted in to the BMX Hall of Fame.
Dec. - Cyclo-cross season begins, and led by the legendary Tim Rutledge, Redline wins another three SuperCup titles and three national Championships.
