Real Estate Resource Guide 2012 Crested Butte’s Oldest Real Estate Company

Born on a ranch in western South Dakota, Doug earned a B.S. degree from Dickinson State University in North Dakota and a Master’s Degree from the University of Montana at Missoula. The next twelve years Doug Kroft Doug spent teaching Broker Owner, GRI for a Department of 209-0373 Defense Dependent School system. He lived and worked in numerous countries including Korea, Germany, Belgium, England, Bahrain, and Holland. Doug is the Broker/Owner of Red Lady Realty and has been a resident of Crested Butte since 1977. Doug has a strong environmental ethic and is a firm believer in open space. He enjoys skiing and snowboarding and in the summer, his life-long love of horses! He loves the mountains, ranch work and our Western heritage.

Steve is a native of Portland, Oregon, and a graduate of Gonzaga University. University. Achieving the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army after graduation, Steve was in Private business until earning his real estate license in 1969. Steve has Steve Meredith owned his own real Broker Associate estate company and 349-5007 has taught numerous training classes. He was President & Realtor of the Year for the largest board of realtors in Oregon. He moved to Crested Butte in 1988 and has enjoyed a successful career here. Steve lives in Mt. Crested Butte and is extremely knowledgeable of the area. Steve and his wife, Judy, have horses and spend many hours riding in the mountains surrounding the Crested Butte area.

In 1987, Maggie relocated to the mountains of Crested Butte, CO from Winnetka, IL where she was born and raised. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, a winter of skiing was the plan that evolved into a Maggie Dethloff lifetime of mountain Broker Associate living.  Providing 209–7880 a comprehensive overview of the local real estate market with a personal touch is Maggie’s expertise. Having extensive experience with short sales and foreclosure properties, Maggie is able to navigate the ins and outs of real estate in Crested Butte.  She lives with her husband John and two children, Ian & Izzie.  Being active in all levels of this community is important to Maggie and she has served on various boards.  On the off chance Maggie is not working, you’ll either find her on the slopes, at the hockey rink or reading a good book.

Sam brings extensive knowledge and experience to his real estate career. He has built residential and commercial projects and has owned in C.B., Mt. C.B., Trappers Crossing and Skyland.  He is a 12 year Realtor Sam Lumb who lists and sells all Broker Associate types of properties 275-2448 throughout the East River Valley in and around  Crested Butte.  Many residents and visitors know Sam from his previous work owning the big bakery & restaurant at Third & Elk Ave.  He has been a CB Town Marshal, a Gunnison County deputy sheriff, Chamber president, Rotary founding member, Gunnison County Planning Commissioner 4 years, firefighter and CB Rec. Dept. softball coach.  Sam currently is a member of the Skyland design committee.  Sam and his wife Nan have two daughters, Paris and Hayley who grew up in Crested Butte.

Joe has lived in the Crested Butte Area since 1972 and is one of the rare individuals that attended preschool through high school in the valley and continues to remain. After attending the University of Colorado, Joe returned to Crested Joe Garcia Broker Associate, GRI Butte to run the Idle Spur Restaurant and 209–4034 Brewery. For the past twelve years Joe has been working in Real Estate either on the building side, constructing and selling spec homes, or selling ranches, homes, condos and land throughout the area. Joe is GRI and E-Pro Certified and has been Red Lady Realty’s “Top Producer” in 2006, 2010 and 2011. He has also managed to build quite a family with his wife Patricia and has four wonderful kids; Taylor, Gabriella, Gary, and Gus. Joe enjoys golfing, fishing, skiing, and playing with his kids.

Molly grew up in Taos, NM and moved east to attend Phillips Exeter Academy & Trinity College, but couldn’t wait to get back to the mountains of the West. She spent 5 years at Snowbird & Alta before moving to Crested Butte in 1997 Molly Eldridge Broker Associate, RSPS, SFR to renovate and manage Irwin Lodge. In 1985 I was fortunate to be elected Mayor of this great town and re-elected in 1987.
