Remembering YOU

I'm not missing you, no I am not. I just want to remember, the countless hours we spent listening to your shayari and my poetry. I want to muse over how we would end up talking and I would never seem to get tired, maybe it was your company or that sarcastic smile. I want to take a trip down the memory lane, how you carried that aura of the wise one, when I saw you first or in the letters that we write. I want to relish how you savoured the last bite of your paneer masala and left that thinnest layer of sambhar. I want to be tempted by the icecreams that you licked and my mushroom loaves. I want to hear the sound of your laughter and mine echoing within. I want to recall the memories of us getting clicked together, I want to giggle over your thin waist and my ticklish knees. I want to enjoy our moments during the sunsets as I sip on the orange juice forcing you to eat the fibre. I want to sway and surprise myself with the spikes of attraction and heated currents flowing in between, I want to be wooed by the effect it left, each hug that brought us closer. I want to feel that feeling again of being relaxed, of comfort of being happy, of you. I want to breathe your breath on my face, I want to freeze your touch on my skin, I want the impression of your intellect in my mind of your love on my soul. For today is all I have, tomorrow might not come and lest I forget or choose to. Mind you! I am not a quitter but neither am I an optimist for hope is something I have given up on, a long time ago and so I want to remember, remember it all.
