Al Wesam Centre, Janabiya The InTouch Integrated Chiropractic Spine Center regularly displays exhibitions of Bahrain-based artists’ work. InTouch is the only health care centre in Bahrain that promotes artists in a relaxed atmosphere different to that of a traditional gallery. This month features an exhibit entitled ‘John Grummitt – Vanishing Bahrain and Other Images’. John, a British photographer, says: “The exhibition focuses mostly on architectural photography capturing the fragile cultural heritage of Bahrain. There are other images from my travels around the world too. “I’ve got a BA in architecture and so this has naturally led me to focus more on buildings and I love traditional Arabian architecture. The exciting gala night includes professional dance and theatre offerings. Italian dance troupe InnProgress Collective will perform special pieces that have been choreographed by Afshin Varjavandi. There will be a performance by La Mama Italy’s Valentina Renzulli and Bahrain’s Khalid Al Roawaie. There will also be a short film premiere, Ayam Zaman. A three-day chocolate and coffee expo will open in Bahrain for the first time at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. More than 100 exhibitors are expected to take part in the event, which will showcase renowned chocolate and coffee products. The exhibition aims to attract Gulf nationals, especially Saudi visitors. Saudi Arabia has become the fastest-growing coffee market in the world.
