The Red Chronicles
Some say we are what our names mean. Perhaps this is a precept that official publications know quite well. For the love of truth and words, a school paper must know that there is power in a name. And so, in the same fashion as The Harvard Crimson and The Chicago Maroon, The Red Chronicles, the official campus newspaper of San Beda College-Alabang School of Law, has chosen its name to evoke the school identity – the Bedan identity. Red stirs a straightforward character, which is what The Red Chronicles, at its inception, envisioned itself to have. It is the school’s publication which chronicles events as it is; delivering news by staying true to its echoes, colors and moods. Established in 2008, The Red Chronicles is run by a pool of law student writers, editors, photographers and artists. It is moderated by Atty. Rita Linda Jimeno, a faculty member of SBCA-SOL and a columnist in The Manila Standards. We cover school news, Philippine current events, the Beda Alabang culture and other topics that affect the lives of the law students. The Red Chronicles publishes an issue every semester and a special graduation issue every year. Seeking to tap more on the creative subconscious, we are launching our very first Literary Folio this 2010. Atty. Rita Linda Jimeno
