Green Mountain Watercolor

Exhibition 2016

Special thanks to Stillwater Graphics Sponsor of the 2016 Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition

Welcome to the 2016 Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition On behalf of Valley Arts and our corporate partners Lareau Farm, Home of American Flatbread and Stillwater Graphics, I am pleased to welcome you to the 2016 Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition, now in its fifth year. The 70 juried paintings from across the country showcase the diverse styles and techniques of watercolor painting. With increased award offerings and extensive media coverage, we are continuing our transition from a regional show to a major national exhibition. Our prize total of $4800 (up from $3075 in cash and merchandise in 2015) funds nineteen different awards and was all donated by friends of the Exhibition and members of Valley Arts. We are honored to have as our judge of awards the internationally recognized artist, Tom Nicholas, NA, AWS. Tom holds signature membership in both the National Academy and the American Watercolor Society. A special “thank you” is extended to the 3 jurors of acceptance, Lisa Beach, Annelein Beukenkemp and Robert O’Brien, who selected the paintings from a large pool of entries. “Thanks” also go to the many volunteers for bringing the Exhibition to fruition and to our donors of awards. The Exhibition is possible through our collaboration with the staff of Lareau Farm and owner, George Schenk. The 2016 Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition is yours to enjoy from Valley Arts. Gary C. Eckhart President, Valley Arts Foundation Curator, Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition
