# Theme Model and Bodybuilder Carmen Knights is competing in the U.S at a prestigious bodybuilding competition in New York, called the New York Pro Show. Carmen hasn’t competed for a few years and has decided to compete in a new womens category called Womens Physique a category which is a lot smaller in size than Bodybuilding women. Its bringing back the classic 80’s female muscle era (more softer less shredded.) Carmen wanted to shoot with a different theme combining prosthetics makeup artist Bill Turpin and Photographer who specialises in bodybuilding , body beautiful and sport photography Rebecca Andrews. Bill and Rebecca were thinking of ways to emphasis the physique but with a weird and wonderful animalistic character trait that was different from your everyday interpretation of photographing a muscular woman. Bill and Rebecca decided to really emphasis mythical with sci fi creating this fem-creature that is beautiful and encapsulating to the audience; this uncomfortable feeling of the unknown of what the fem-creature is feeling and thinking. Incredible textures of the Fem-Creature are shown in this series of portraits. Inspired by Sci-fi women such as Species and Terminatrix, their suits are always complimentary to the lines, contour shape of a woman so this was something Bill and Rebecca wanted to carry through with Carmen. Inspirations for Rebecca leading to the direction of creating a mood board then developed into filming Carmen. Further expanding from this uncomfortable-ness of this muscular fem creature responding to sounds. Music inspired by Skunk Anansie, “Charlie Big Potato” and especially one song “Carmen-Queasy.”
My vision is distorted by my sleazy mind, To picturesque an image to control this time, You have the vision but you keep it all to yourself, Your lust is decomposing us.
