Course overview

The Agriculture programme has been designed to give you an in-depth, scientific understanding of the latest industry techniques whilst developing your farm management and business skills.

What will I study?

This course focuses on mixed farming with first year modules in agricultural biology, crop production systems, farm animal nutrition, business and human resource management, land-based machinery technology, animal welfare and livestock production systems. Modules covered in the second year include agriculture and the environment, global markets and marketing, enterprise diversification, agronomy, farm animal health, finance planning and grassland and forage management. The final year is optional to gain a BSc (Hons) Agricultural Business, Development and Leadership (see page 32).
