From the early years as a family group to Donny and Marieâs recent residency run which was a staple on the Strip for more than a decade. Now Donny has returned as a solo headliner at Harrahâs and the show is such a success, additional dates have already been announced for the new year. However, Donny told me even though heâs doing his own show this time, his kid sister still has a special part in the production. âThe first thing I wanted to do in the show is a tribute to Marie because we have such a bond together. And I went through every moment of those old Donny & Marie shows and picked out those perfect sweet spots.â Thereâs lots of sweet spots in the high energy show which chronicles the starâs 60-year career in one incredibly unique way! âDid you like the rap?â Donny asks me. Yes, you heard correctly, Donny raps! In a 10-minute âHamilton-sequelâ rap, Donny details the highs and lows of his six decades of in entertainment. âItâs probably one of my favorite parts of the show, very difficult because it gets so fast but itâs funny, there are parts where I talk about my failures and the successes.â
