The base engine (defined as the unmodified engine from which the final build began) must be available within that model range from the date of the vehicle's construction, or later 5.2.2.C.1. The term “base engine” is defined as the unmodified engine from which the final build began. For example, a Chevrolet 350ci would be the base engine for a 383ci stroker. 5.2.3. Exhaust A. Exhaust modification is unrestricted, provided the vehicle is capable of passing race track sound restrictions where applicable. B. Exhaust systems must exit from underneath the vehicle. Turndowns or “dumps” that are positioned well behind the driver will be considered only on a case-by-case basis. 5.2.4. Power Adders A. Aftermarket forced induction systems are permitted. B.
