why we believe in snowboarding
Snowboarding is about community, friends, adventures, experiences and the freedom to let your creativity loose. On the snow covered mountains, hills, streets, parks or anywhere else you can shred, there are so many different styles of riding each with their own unique aspects making rider progression endless. Whether you’re old, young or new to snowboarding, you can always learn a new skill; no matter the simplicity or difficulty it is always exciting. We welcome riders of all abilities and skill levels. 1
about us I
company story
Homegrown from the roots of where modern snowboarding originated, Marhar Snowboards was founded back in 2009 and is gaining attention in the snowboard market. What started as a two-man garage operation has grown into a full-blown snowboard manufacturing company, with select retailers carrying the brand across the country. Marhar started just miles away from where the original idea of snowboarding began (the Snurfer out of Muskegon, MI). Two long-time friends, Nathan Morse and Josh Skiles, decided to take a leap of faith and follow a dream. With Nate’s passion for snowboarding, design, and engineering, he needed a partner that shared the love for snowboarding and could help manage the company. Marhar produces and engineers wood cores, shapes, graphics and introduces new technology into an ever-evolving snowboard market, all within our USA based facility. Marhar manufactures high quality snowboards with proven durability, performance and affordability. With rigorous and extensive R&D, we are able to create snowboards in their own factory with insane flex, control, and pop. When you buy a Marhar you are truly buying an American made product.
retail program | we believe in retailers At Marhar, we are focused on building our community through our retailers. We do everything we can to help promote sell-through in all of our stores. Online sales through the Marhar website are funneled to the closest retailer to the online customer. Retailer’s get the full retail price of the product being purchased, no fees, no catch, just our way of supporting ecommerce and the retailers who support Marhar.

M1 CORE
Our lightweight full poplar/paulownia wood core offers exceptional performance and reliability. It provides a perfect blend of smoothness, flexibility, high energy, and pop. The uniform and consistent feel makes for a comfortable and confident riding experience at any skill level.
M2 CORE
Our M1 core beefed up with our Bamboo DNA TM bars. Bamboo is one of the strongest natural materials on earth increasing the strength and durability of the core while loading the board with energy to create a more responsive and powerful feel.

Our Eco-Friendly Bamboo DNA TM bars are laminated vertically and horizontally, creating the ultimate utilization of bamboo in our snowboards. Sandwiched bamboo material has unmatched strength, durability, and performance. Lightweight carbon adds strength and durability in high stress areas. The carbon focuses energy to specific areas of the core creating insane amounts of pop.
This bullet proof material exhibits extremelly high tensile strength and rigidity adding high durability and impact resistance. Kevlar has anti-fatigue properties increasing the longevity in the pop of the board.
We use UHMWPE which has higher durability, flex, and bonding abilities. Traditional ABS Plastics can crack and SIDEWALLS break in colder conditions where UHMWPE will not.

This high performance base is both proven in durability, and speed. Sintered bases hold more wax and are much stronger than extruded bases.
Biax fiberglass has a softer, more forgiving feel.
fiberglass Triax fiberglass adds extra torsional strength for more versatility.
rubber bonding system
A rubberized internal material used to create a bomb proof bond between materials. It’s secondary function is to absorb chatter on the roughest of slopes.

Radius 1 and 3 are smaller sections with a deeper curve for quick manueverability and to initiate turns. Radius 2 and 4 are much more shallow curves to aid with stability and edge hold.

Blending the radius curves of sections 2 and 3 create an extra contact grip points (5) for superior edge hold under the binding area. Blending all 4 alternating radii creates the perfect sidecut for all terrain riding for each shape in the Marhar lineup. It’s stable and reliable.
