I’m Marketing Manager of Automechanika Birmingham, the UK’s leading trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain sector. I also look after the marketing for the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event plus our digital product auto:resource. My background is in large scale events and my day to day role involves bringing the automotive industry together at events for networking, product launches and automotive training. I am proof that you can work in the automotive industry and not be a vehicle technician or garage owner! I have learnt so much about automotive products, modern day cars and the mega trends impacting the businesses in the automotive industry since I started this role.
I am the Group HR Manager at Sandicliffe. I have been with the Company for 20 years and started as a part-time administrator. I love my role, we are currently working on the employee survey to see how we can improve as a business. We are also working on diversity to ensure we are attracting and retaining employees from all backgrounds, life experiences, gender and abilities. The last two years have seen a huge shift in my role and we now have employees working from home and are looking at ways to improve work life balance and well being for our employees.
