2020 COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

Advocacy Committee

Advertisement

The Advocacy Committee is to identify issues that impact operation of healthcare facilities. In addition to education, advocacy is a major focus of HFMADV and ASHE. Once identified, we evaluate them and determine if we should take a position. Issues could be regulations, guidelines, or proposed standards prepared by state or federal agencies (DHSS, DEP, EPA), organizations (CMSJC, NFPA, AIA), or even county or city government.

Code Committee

The Code Committee is responsible in keeping members updated in code changes that would affect their position and to help them be better prepared for surveys by regulatory and accreditation authorities. The committee will give updates through our regular monthly meetings and through our e-mail distribution system.

Conference Committee

The Conference Committee is responsible for arranging educational programs such as Breakfast Forums, Seminars, Fall Conference, Spring Conference, Affiliated Chapter Seminars, training classes, etc. that would be beneficial to the membership.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for arranging educational programs such for the monthly meeting, that would be beneficial to the membership.

Healthcare Facility Managers Association Annual Recognition Award Committee

The Awards Committee makes the decision on whether a submitted nomination is worthy of HFMADV recognition and to what degree. Members are encouraged to nominate employees from their facility who went one step beyond their job requirements to resolve a safety or security issue such as a fire, threat, etc.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for publicizing the values of an HFMADV membership and to work diligently in its growth. Updated new member listing is on the front page of the membership page.

Newsletter Committee

The Newsletter Committee is responsible for obtaining advertisements and articles for the monthly publication of the “HFMADV News.” The newsletters will be posted on the Website for everyone to review..

Web Site Committee

The Web Site Committee is responsible for obtaining information for the HFMADV Web Site and keeping the site current with the up-to-date news, seminars, codes, pictures, and training information.
