comprehensive understanding of the “Chronology of the Church Chronicle” as it is

presented in this book.

The Bible is not a mere compilation and composition of literary nonsense, but it

is rather the powerful, preserved and profound Word of God. Its writings are stated by

the apostle Peter to be directed by the Holy Ghost as he said, “For the prophecy came not

in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the

Holy Ghost,” (2Pe 1:21). God is its author and artist and it is one of the most fascinating

and finest works of art that has ever been given to mankind.

The uniqueness and universality of the scripture captivates and commands the

attention of men and women of all walks of life. The intellect is mentally spellbound by

its depth and the simple is allured by its effect on the heart.

The Bible which literally means books is a library of Divine knowledge that had

its beginning several thousand years ago. It was written by over forty authors from all

stations of life and uniquely and uniformly gives the perfect story of man’s history and

God’s involvement in that history. Except for the books of Daniel and Ezra, which

partly was written in the Aramaic language, the rest of the books were written primarily

in Hebrew or in Greek. From the Hebrew language to translations into Aramaic and

finally due to the disbursement of the Jews all over the Hellenistic World, necessitated

translations into Greek. This translation is called the Septuagint meaning “seventy”

which is thought to stand for the seventy scholars who extensively translated it from

Hebrew and Aramaic into Greek. These seventy scholars were separated in groups of
