Unity Streamer Ads

The Rotary Club of Batangas collaborated with other socio-civic organizations in Batangas City to come up with a “Welcome Streamer Billboard” along Star Tollway in the area of Barangay Tingga Itaas, Batangas City. The club, along with the Batangas City Eagles Club, and the two (2) Lions clubs in the city; the Batangas Lions Club and the Batangas City 103 Lions Club; sponsored and installed a streamer ads billboard, measuring about 5x8” and with adequate lightings, at the southernmost part of Sabang Bridge showing the welcome signage and the four (4) club logos. This concerted effort shows the unity and cooperation of these civic orgs with a common cause for community outreach service to Batangueños.

The Philippine Dental Association (PDA) is a non-stock, non-profit association founded in 1908. The PDA has its own Constitution & By-Laws and is duly registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission. Its operation is guided by Republic Act 9484 and the Regulatory Code of Dental Practice. When the Americans occupied the Philippine Islands, the Military Governor of the Philippines at the time, Major General Elwell Otis, authorized the then Provost Marshall General to determine the fitness of those who were already practicing dentistry. Accordingly, examinations were given and licenses subsequently issued. The requirement marked the beginning of the trend toward state supervision of the dental practice of the country. Three years after, with the change from a military to a civil government, the Islands were placed under a governing body known as the Phil. Commission. It was this body, which passed the famous Act No. 593, considered to be the second step towards the maturation of dentistry in the Philippines into a profession and provided for the organization of the Board of Dental Examiners.
