COMMERCIAL EFFECTIVENESS Social Selling Course overview Customers are communicating in new ways and starting to use social media in their day-to-day business. This gives MITIE new opportunities to engage with customers and build relationships with them. This course presents the critical social media tools and techniques which may be helpful to MITIE business development, sales people and account managers. It looks at how we can move beyond responding to opportunities to finding new companies and people with which to engage and creating new sales opportunities for MITIE. We look at how social provides ways to keep in touch with companies and people, even arranging meetings and discussing requirements and solutions. In summary, social media is now one more tool in our toolkit of how we can develop and deepen relationships with customers, and how we can use those relationships to help secure business for MITIE. The course features extensive hands-on sessions and a workbook to help develop personal social sales plans. Suitable for MITIE business development, sales people and account managers. Preparation Prior to attending, attendees will need to have:  Set up personal LinkedIn and Twitter accounts  Downloaded and installed LinkedIn and Twitter apps on your phones  Read MITIE’s Social Media Policy  Identified four specific companies with which they would like develop deeper relationships and which we can discuss on the course Attendees will need to bring their phones and computers ready for use on the course.
