THE NAME
Wir begeben uns auf eine Reise. Das Ziel: neue Erlebniswelten. Unsere Namensquelle ist eine sagenhafte Stadt: Xanadu oder auch Shangdu, die Sommerresidenz des mongolischen Kaisers Kubla Khan im alten China. Marco Polo überlieferte uns die faszinierenden Reichtümer des alten Chinas. Wir lernten Seide, Gewürze, Edelsteine und Porzellan kennen. In der Überlieferung entstand die Stadt Xanadu – heute Metapher für Prunk und Wohlstand.
Mit XANADOO haben wir uns viel vorgenommen. Unsere Mission ist es, eine Plattform für faszinierende Geschenkideen zu schaffen. Für diese Mission vereinen wir in einem großen Bündel an Erfahrungen ein ausgeprägtes Designverständnis einerseits und ein treffsicheres Wissen um die Machbarkeit und die Wege zum Ziel andererseits. We are embarking on a journey. Our destination: new worlds of experience. The origin of our name is a legendary city: Xanadu, also called Shangdu, the summer capital of the Mongolian emperor Kublai Khan in ancient China. Marco Polo delivered the fascinating treasures of ancient China to us. We learned about silk, spices, jewels, and porcelain. Legend created the city of Xanadu – today a metaphor for splendour and prosperity.
With XANADOO, we have set ourselves high goals. Our mission is to create a platform for fascinating gift ideas. For the purpose of this mission, we combine in a big bundle of experience our bold understanding of design and unerring know-how of feasibility and how to reach our goal. XANADOO creates exclusivity. In unseren langjährigen Geschäftsbeziehungen in Fernost ist ein respektvoller und transparenter Produktionsprozess selbstverständlich. Durch die geprüften Produktionswege können wir die hohe Qualität unserer Produkte sicherstellen. XANADOO betreibt eigene Büros in Ningbo (China), Budapest (Ungarn) und in der Nähe von Köln sowie in Hamburg (Deutschland) und ist über das starke Netzwerk weltweit vertreten und logistisch bestens aufgestellt.

XANADOO ist jetzt für Sie da und unser Auftakt soll laut und fröhlich sein! Hund, Katze, Schaf – wer ruft denn da? Bei uns begeben sich kleine Tierfreunde in einen Wettstreit mit der Zeit. Vorhang auf für den bunten Reigen der Familie Coo! Hier ruft nicht der Kuckuck sondern die Kuh: Muh! Die Familie Coo zählt acht Mitglieder und jeder kleine Tierfreund hat seine eigene Lieblingshütte. Sei es die gemütliche Kuh Hannah Holstein, die über saftig grüne Wiesen im Norden streift, oder die royale Henne Victoria Poultree in ihrer dotterfarbenen Hütte – alle erinnern uns stündlich an den Lauf der Zeit. Aber keine Angst: Wir müssen nicht so früh aufstehen wie der Hahn im Morgengrauen. Der intelligente Lichtsensor der XANADOO Wanduhren lässt die Tierfreunde schlummern, wenn wir uns zur Ruhe betten.
Doch strahlt am Morgen die Sonne in unser Zimmer, grüßt uns die niedliche Elefantendame Elle DeVilla aus ihrem rosaroten Häuschen mit einem freundlichen Töröö! Wie die klassischen Uhrenmodelle aus dem Schwarzwald haben auch die XANADOO Wanduhren das charakteristische Pendel. Farblich ist es auf die Tierhütte abgestimmt und mit einer dekorativen Blume versehen. Besonders stürmischen Zeitgenossen bietet sich der manuelle Auslöser an. Dann kommt schnell wie der Blitz Lightnin‘ Les angaloppiert. Die Familie Coo bereitet Groß und Klein viel Freude. Die originellen Uhren sind ein erstklassiges Wandobjekt und ein echter Blickfang in jedem Zimmer.

XANADOO now is here for you and we want our kick-off to be loud and cheerful! Dogs, cats, sheep – who is calling? With us, small animal friends are in a race against time. Say hello to the colourful collection of the Coo family! It’s not the cuckoo who is calling, it’s the cow: Moo!
The intelligent light sensor of the XANADOO wall clocks lets our animal friends slumber when we rest our weary heads. But in the morning, when the sun starts shining into our room, Elle DeVilla, our cute elephant cow, will greet us from her pink cottage with her cheerful “Toroo!”
The Coo family has eight members and each one of our small animal friends has its own favourite cottage. From Hannah Holstein, the jovial cow that roams over lush green meadows of the North to Victoria Poultree, the royal hen in her egg-yolk-colour cottage – they all remind us every hour of how time goes by. But, don’t worry: You don’t have to rise with the rooster at the break of dawn.
Like the traditional clock models from the Black Forest, our XANADOO wall clocks also have the characteristic pendulum - colour-matched with the animal cottage and furnished with a decorative flower. The manual trigger is for our particularly impatient fellow citizens: Lightnin‘ Les then comes galloping ahead in a flash.

Bereits in den frühen 90er Jahren hat Thomas Wolf seine Passion für Asien entdeckt. Sein Thema ist der Import von emotionalen Konsumgütern. Durch regelmäßige Reisen zu Messen und Produktionsstätten in Fernost mit einem Fokus auf den Bereich Dekoration und Geschenkartikel hat er sich für diese Produktgruppe ein großes Know-how erschlossen.
Seine Profession sind Vertrieb, Marketing und Kommunikation, seine Wirkungsfelder Wohnen und Lifestyle. Mit seiner über 20-jährigen Erfahrung ist er in den relevanten Absatzkanälen eng vernetzt – vom Museumsshop bis zum Filialist.
Durch langjährige Erfahrung als Einkäufer für führende Unternehmen der Branche wie Bertelsmann, Kaufhof und Perleberg kann Thomas auf ein großes und schlagkräftiges Netzwerk zählen und hält beste Kontakte in den Bereichen Produktion, Konfektionierung, Qualitätskontrolle und Lagerung.
Mit Referenzen von ALESSI und Rosenthal ist er ein Kenner der Branche. In allen bisherigen Stationen zählten der Vertriebsaufbau bzw. dessen Restrukturierung zur Optimierung der jeweiligen Markenerkennbarkeit zu Falkos Kernaufgaben. Thomas Wolf discovered his passion for Asia in the 1990s. His subject is the import of emotional consumer goods. Through regular travels to trade fairs and production sites in the Far East with a focus on decoration and gift items, he has acquired vast knowledge of this product group.
Falko Becker comes from a sales, marketing and communications background, his expertise is in the fields of living and lifestyle. With more than 20 years of experience, he is closely networked in all relevant sales channels – from museum shops to chain stores. With references from ALESSI and Rosenthal, he is an industry insider.
His longstanding experience as a buying agent for industry leaders such as Bertelsmann, Kaufhof and Perleberg has provided Thomas with a wide and powerful network. Thomas has excellent contacts in the areas of production, packaging, quality control and storage.
Falko´s key responsibilities in all prior jobs were the setting up or restructuring of sales structures aimed at optimising the respective brand recognition. Due to his professional career, he is well-versed in the international arena. “Think globally, act locally“ - this is the slogan he has taken to heart.
