Bring a camera during the ride up into the Pony Wood Forest on the property, situated up against the Bitterroot Mountains. Parsons offers one and a half hour rides for kids, Wednesday through Saturday, April through October, with parents welcome to walk alongside or wait at shaded picnic tables. Children can climb up into turrets, run across bridges connecting different areas of the park, or use slides to let loose some pent-up energy. A water park feature is also open during the spring and summer months. Hideout Mountain is a great place to stop for a rest, picnic, or just to let kids run around.
