To Find Out
Es un verbo compuesto muy utilizado por los angloparlantes, pero poco utilizado por los españoles. Principalmente significa “Enterarse de algo”. Ojo con la pregunta “¿Te has enterado?”: no utilizamos “to find out” sino “to hear”: “Have you heard?” ¿Cuándo te enteraste de la verdad?

Se enteraron del resultado escuchando la radio.
They found out about the result by listening to the radio.
“To find out” también significa “averiguar” (pero no en el sentido de calcular o razonar). No olvides que tanto el pasado simple como el participio perfecto de “find out” es “found out”. ¿Qué has podido averiguar?
