sing our unique knowledge of unusual adventures in the Urban landscape, in 2010 we created the River Rat Race, taking place on the waters of the mighty River Tees. This wet ‘n’ wild take on the traditional 10k saw 800 competitors donning buoyancy aids and literally taking to the Tees. Highlights included walking the plank from the deck of HM Bark Endeavour; a climb over the ironwork of the imposing Newport Bridge; kayaking; and all manner of waterborne slipping, splashing, dunking and sliding. The adventure continues on August Bank Holiday 2011 as the event doubles its capacity and uses the same waved start sequence to despatch 1500 River Rat Racers into the drink!
