Winter lights and lantern trails As the nights close in and the winter approaches many of our local attractions are preparing to brighten things up with lantern and light trails. Here are a few which have caught my eye and look amazing:

1Lantern Trail at West Midland Safari Park 22 October - 5 December

Starting in October half term, the immersive light installations will transform the Park, transporting guests to a wonderland of lanterns and interactive lighting displays. With over forty light groupings, and up to 1000 individual lanterns, the event will have something for all ages, and make a fantastic family evening out.

With magical lit-up landscapes, dinosaur lanterns, glowing animal installations, a giant interactive piano keyboard, rainbow tunnel and many other creations, the 3km trail has been designed to offer guests a safe and enjoyable evening, with plenty of fun all round.

2

New Halloween Trail at Blenheim Palace 22 – 31 October

As Halloween creeps closer and the days shorten, a mysterious mist falls across the gardens at Blenheim Palace. Join with family and friends to wander from dusk into darkness between one ghostly space to another... if you dare! Watch out for flickering flames in a fiendish fire garden, daring fire artists and grinning pumpkins aglow. Wind your way through the illuminated haunted woods filled with creepy neon cobwebs, ghastly ghouls, wicked witches, larger-than life spiders and beastly bats. Then discover the Secret Garden filled with more hidden surprises. Could it be a trick of the light or do things really go “bump in the night”?
