New 2022 CPD Requirements

CPD in 2022

This year marks the start of the new College CPD program and launch of the new CPD ePortfolio.

The College has made a number of changes to the CPD program for 2022 to introduce the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) and Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) changes, as we transition to full compliance to these requirements from 2023 onwards.

The CPD requirements for 2022 are as follows:

• 50 hours of CPD

• Completion of a Professional Development Plan (PDP)

• 8 MRI CPD hours if participating in the MRI quality program

• 4 Mammography CPD hours if participating in the mammography quality program.

Specific MCNZ Requirements (New Zealand Members only)

• Structured Annual Conversation with a peer, colleague or employer

• CPD activities with a focus on cultural safety and health equity.

To support members in navigating the new CPD program and ePortfolio, the College has the following resources available:

CPD program resources

• 2022 CPD Handbooks for Clinical Radiology and Radiation Oncology

• RANZCR CPD website

New CPD ePortfolio resources

The College is pleased to announce new “how-to” guides to assist members with navigating the new CPD ePortfolio. These are accessible via the College website by selecting the “CPD ePortfolio User Guides” tab on www.ranzcr.com/fellows/general/cpd-overview

These are designed to provide step-by-step guidance to the key functions that members will use on a regular basis when interreacting with the CPD ePortfolio. User guides include:

• How to access the CPD ePortfolio

• How to enter a CPD activity

• How to complete your Professional Development Plan (PDP)

• How to download a letter of privileges and credentials (letter of good standing)

• How to turn on Mammography and MRI CPD settings.

The College is continuing to produce new guides, which will be added to the website as they are completed.
