RANZCR 2022 ASM
RANZCR 2022 ASM Planning Full Steam Ahead for Adelaide
After the false starts of 2020 and 2021 for our flagship event, the Annual Scientific Meeting, the College and local organising committee are fully committed to a face-to-face meeting delivery in Adelaide 27–30 October.
While some may prefer the flexibility that a virtual attendance can provide, two years of online meetings has created ‘zoom fatigue’ with many craving the opportunity to reconnect with friends and like-minded individuals within our profession.
Launched in January, the call for abstracts has seen submissions already streaming through indicating a strong desire for authors to share their latest research among colleagues. There is still time for members to be part of the conversation with abstract submissions closing Friday 8 April.
Registrations will open soon after this date with the aim to create an engaging, diverse program to be shared in person and to the globe.
Produced locally by representatives from clinical radiology and radiation oncology, this year’s event will showcase the brightest minds with presentations from across the globe.
The rescue was a matter of life and death and, using his skills as an anaesthetist and as a cave diver, Dr Harris helped guide the boys through nearly four kilometres of water with visibility down to zero.
In 2018, he received the Star of Courage, Australia’s second highest civilian award for bravery, and the medal of the Order of Australia for his role in the Thailand cave rescue. We are privileged to have Dr Harris present the 2022 Nisbet Oration and look forward to hearing his truly remarkable story.
The 2022 ASM will see many of the College’s new ASM initiatives delivered including the introduction of the Everlight Kids Club recognising the challenges that parents encounter when participating in conferences.
The creche facility will be provided to families during the main program days Thursday to Saturday and bookings will be available during the registration process or by contacting the ASM event managers.
It is our hope that you will join us in Adelaide and stay a little longer and venture beyond the city realms to explore the many attractions of the state. From the Barossa Valley to McLaren Vale to Kangaroo Island, visit www.ranzcr2022.com and view the many experiences on offer and take advantage of a 10 per cent saving for ASM participants.
So be sure to mark your diary for some key dates and we look forward to seeing you in Adelaide.
