On this hunt, it is common to see numerous wintering wildlife including bighorn sheep, moose, deer and the possibility of wolves or maybe a grizzly bear and, of course, large herds of elk. Trails West Outfitters will provide experienced guides and safe well-seasoned mountain horses and mules to hunt from. We will pack the cow elk out to the trailhead for the hunter. SN-6 WYOMING GOVERNOR’S SHIRAS MOOSE LICENSE Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission & Department, and the North American Moose Foundation (via the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition) are pleased to provide Wild Sheep Foundation - Midwest Chapter with a 2014 Shiras Moose License for auction. The 2014 Wyoming Governor’s Moose License is only valid in open hunt areas with greater than 10 total any or antlered moose licenses issued. For 2014 this license was valid in 123 hunt areas: 1, 5, 10, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 38/41. These hunt areas account for over 70% of Wyoming’s annual Shiras Moose harvest. The number of licenses issued per hunt area MAY change from year to year. Seasons and license numbers for fall 2014 will be finalized in April 2014. Successful purchaser may hunt nay open hunt area that qualifies in accordance with the above. The purchaser does not have to pick a specific hunt area and may hunt different hunt areas. The five-year waiting period between moose licenses does not affect the ability to purchase a Governor’s moose license, and purchasing this license is independent of applying for a moose license through the draw system. The license fee ($117 for resident, $1,416 for non-resident) is waived. SN-24 MID-ASIAN IBEX HUNT Asian Mountain Outfitters This 6-8 day hunt is for 2014/2015 with the most common hunt dates being September and October but the season runs from August 15th to February 28th. The number of licenses issued per hunt area may change from year to year. Seasons and license numbers for fall 2014 will be finalized in April 2014. In 2013, this license was valid in seven hunt areas: #1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8/23. These hunt areas account for over 80% of Wyoming’s annual Rocky Mountain sheep harvest. Successful purchaser may hunt any open hunt area that qualifies in accordance with the above. The purchaser does not have to pick a specific hunt area and may hunt different hunt areas. The five-year waiting period between bighorn sheep licenses does not affect the ability to purchase a Governor’s bighorn sheep license, and purchasing this license is independent of applying for a bighorn sheep license through the draw system.
