T
he annual conundrum in fashion publishing is how to photograph spring clothes in the depths of a British winter. The alternative to jetting off to warmer climes is the much easier option; shooting inside. So for Spring ’22 Style on the Street goes indoors, into one of the many beautiful homes of the Ramsgate creative set. This season we welcome newcomer to the Ramsgate scene HōRA Vintage. HōRA was born out of the growing need to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, resist the lure of fast fashion and consume less clothing to reduce impact on the environment. Based on these principles and integrating the values of reuse/ recycle and conscious consumption, HōRA’s founder Maria combined her lifelong love of vintage clothing with her 20 years’ experience in retail to create a slow fashion brand out of timeless and impeccably made vintage pieces that can be worn for years to come. HōRA’s mission is to inspire the wearer to switch into a more conscious mindset when wearing and consuming fashion, not centred on passing trends and instant, short-lived gratification, but on choosing pieces that are defined by their lasting design, originality and interesting details.
