MEN’S NIGHTS
By Josh
Men’s night is a new event this academic year that allows the student men to join together in community and learn more about Godly masculinity and how to live out of the reality of what it means to be a man spiritually, physically, and mentally.

We usually have a nice, hot fire going and we get to have Zach and Granger (men’s campus ministry), one of the focus missionaries, or priests give a talk. The talks have been very Holy Spirit driven and have been inspiring us men to truly embrace our masculinity and execute that in real life. We usually go from the talk to then sharing all together how it applies to us and how we can grow through the subject of the talk and live it out and whoever wants to speak, can. From there we break off into smaller groups and talk about how the talk applies to our masculine selves and the lives we live.
Men’s night is a great place for every male student, because the world has taken spaces for men that have existed for hundreds if not thousands of years and disbanded them or made them agender. Today men are raised and live in a society where masculinity is a hush word and when it is spoken of it is bashing masculinity as “toxic”.
In men’s night we are reclaiming what it means to be masculine and to live out of that masculinity in the way that God intended it. Men’s night is great because the students can talk about manly things and be supported and affirmed in themselves with a true fraternity.
Men are made for dominion and ownership over their lives and those God has given them responsibility over and men’s night is training men for dominion because if strong, holy Catholic men aren’t going to have dominion and ownership over this world then that role will be given to weak ungodly men.
“God blessed them, and he said, ‘increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth”
Gen 1:28
