Team Rally Prep at the TSH Stages

We took our latest BMW E30 and a beautiful MK I Escort to the TSH stages


It

was an exciting time at Rally Prep as we prepared to run the E30 and the stunning MK1 Escort of 'Dangerous Dave' Owen at the TSH Stages in May. The rally was a non-spectator event, and, for the team, it was an ideal opportunity to test the E30 in a competitive environment close to home. The first few stages were approached with a degree of caution as the car had only covered a single shakedown since build and the crew had not competed for over a year. Therefore it was a really pleasant surprise to be in the top 20 overall and 5th in a

There was clearly plenty more to come and picking the pace up a little, we saw seconds being swapped with 2.5ltr Millington powered Mk2 Escorts, with it further climbing up the leader board, finishing day one in 17th overall and fourth in class.

ever stage rally – and achieving a lifelong ambition in doing so. With a novice navigator also making his rallying debut it is fair to say that there were some nerves and a little tension in the service area before stage one! The grins beaming out from the helmets at the end of the first couple of stages said it all – the pair were loving it! to retire the car - a really disappointing end ave pushed harder and harder as to what had been a brilliant fun weekend. day went on, and with the growing Epynt and the Mewla Stages beckons next confidence of his navigator building with for Dave – a huge challenge for the novice each passing minute, the pair were delighted to discover, after stage eight they were running in 34th overall, and could not wait to tackle the six stages on day two.
