The Raj Bhavan Karnataka Through the Ages traces the genesis of Karnataka from the days of the Kingly fiefdom, through its evolution during the British Raj and as the progressive Mysore State until the present. It highlights the achievements of leaders who influenced the state’s history from Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan, the Wodeyar Kings, Sir Mark Cubbon, the man who built the Raj Bhavan as it is known today, to its current incumbent.
It offers a walk through the Raj Bhavan’s lavish 16- acre gardens, its treasure trove of historical artefacts and the interiors of the architecturally interesting building. Adding a personalised touch is a chapter devoted to the workings of the Raj Bhavan as a household.
