4. Model Models in the fashion world work in promoting clothes and accessories to fashion buyers for major stores, the media, and customers. Fashion models work in various fields, including photographic modeling, television commercials, live or runway modeling, and product modeling.

Just after a 10+2 qualification, one can enter this profession, though its suggested to have at least a graduate qualification which assist in handling the nitty gritty of this profession.

A portfolio of professionally shot photographs is necessary to enter the profession.

Key attributes required to become a model is a good and healthy complexion coupled with lustrous hair. Female Modelling aspirant should ideally be at least five feet and seven inches tall. As for men, the taller they are the better for them. Being photogenic is also one of the key attribute. Camera friendly attitude, plenty of self-confidence and grace while showcasing the products, are all vital in earning a name in this profession.

The job market is very good due to growth in consumerism and media.

Generally, a male model can begin his career with a starting salary of Rs. 6000-10,000 per show and for females; it is around Rs.10, 000 per show. There are very few modelling courses available and most of the reputed ones are confined to Mumbai and Delhi.
