Why choose a fast SIM card?

Why choose a fast SIM card? The SIM card runs the whole phone. Without it, you can’t make calls or do anything. To make calls, you need to first insert the SIM card into the phone. It is important to note that there are two types of SIM cards, namely, a post-paid card and a prepaid SIM card. By opting for a post-paid card, you agree to pay the network operator at the end of every month for using their services. On the other hand, there are no such transactions on the prepaid side. To keep the phone running, the SIM needs balance. Listed below are four things that favour a prepaid SIM card:

 Prepaid is comparatively affordable: As stated earlier, under the post-paid scenario, you have to pay the network operator at the end of the month upon receiving the bill. Sometimes, you may end up overusing your phone and sometimes there may have been a mistake from the operator’s side. Whatever, may the case you end up paying a lot of money. However, the opposite applies to a prepaid SIM card. Upon expiry, you need to add recharge to the card’s balance or you can’t use it. This ensures that you can keep track of your expenses, which will ultimately be helpful to your wallet.

 Faster and cheaper internet: Other than being generally inexpensive, prepaid services are known for offering faster internet packs that can be purchased at an affordable cost. If you are using post-paid plans, you need to be careful about the usage of the internet on your phone. You cannot stream your favourite shows as doing that might end up costing money. Internet bill under a post-paid plan depends on the usage. That’s not the case in prepaid. You are free to use the data as you want after upfront payment.

 There are no contractual obligations: In choosing a post-paid service, you are entering into a contract with the network provider. And the breach of the contract will hurt your wallet. Consider this hypothetical scenario, you are not satisfied by the post-paid service of your provider and may want an out, but, the validity of the contract hasn’t expired yet. If you do choose to leave the service before the contract’s expiry date, then, you might have to pay a fine. There is no such formal agreement in a fast prepaid card. Furthermore, you are free to leave the service whenever you want and that too without any fines.

 Prepaid promises transparency: It is very difficult to keep track of your cell phone usage. It is even harder to remember the number of calls made by you on a particular day, let alone a month. So, under the post-paid scenario, when you look at the bill, you have to pay the price. There is a certain level of opaqueness involved in post-paid cards. However, the opposite is the case in prepaid cards. You alone are responsible for ensuring that the card does not run out of balance. It is important to note that the aforementioned aspects are not the only things that favour a fast sim card. Hope you found the article engaging.
