STATESMAN LEBANON’S MOST FORTHRIGHT REPRESENTATIVE

NEMR ABOU NASSAR IS OUT TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK BY FIDA CHAABAN

Nemr Abou Nassar has become a pretty hot topic in the last few months but he has had a strong fan base throughout the Middle East for years. We had originally slotted this feature for this past March and then decided to hold off for an issue that would better reflect his personality. You know Nemr as the comedian, we know Nemr as the social commentator who uses his comedy as a means to drive his point home. We’ve decided to bring you the Nemr that we know and respect: the voice of Lebanon in 2012. If we were going to choose a president for this challenged country, he would be the only candidate we back. There is, after all, no one else out there saying the things that the average educated Lebanese citizen is thinking. There is no one else out there to champion our thoughts and our causes. Finally, there’s just no one else out there that evokes the right mix of loving Lebanon and not being too blind to tackle and point out our country’s many flaws.
