FAU AND ci2 PARTNERSHIP

Friedrich-Alexander Universität of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Center for Intelligent Imaging (ci2) at UCSF are establishing a mutually beneficial strategic relationship to develop and foster academic links between the two institutions. Specific areas of cooperation include faculty, scholar and student mobility; joint research projects and publications; exchanges of publications, materials, and information; and special short-term programs, workshops and visits. The March 2023 FAU-UCSF Scientific Sessions represent one of the first collaborative projects between the universities.

Friedrich-Alexander Universität of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is one of the largest research universities in Germany. Founded in 1743, the university’s motto Moving Knowledge exemplifies FAU’s approach to generating and openly sharing knowledge that shapes the future responsibly for future generations, drives prosperity, and creates value. FAU has earned the reputation of being Germany’s most innovative university. Research priorities cover a wide range of topics that include: cultural values, religion and human rights; high-performance computing, analytics, electronics and digital transformation; future energy systems; medical engineering; medicine, life sciences and health, new materials and processes, optics and optical technologies and others.
