The owners and staff at Back Alley Billiards in McAlester would like to congratulate the winners of Magoo’s 20th Anniversary 8-Ball tourney! John Gabriel, of Claremore, won the men’s division, and Shane McMinn, of Tulsa, got 2nd. Rachel Petersen, of McAlester, won the women’s division, and Theresa Cameron, of Cherryvale, Kansas, got 2nd. Other top finishers in the men’s division include Jacob McMichael, who got 3rd, and KC Massey, who got 4th. Gabriel said he was happy with his win. “Just finished at the Magoo’s 20th anniversary tournament and wanted to thank Richard, Shad McMinn, Andrew Barnsbee, and the staff at Magoos for a great tournament,” Gabriel said following his big win. “Also, thanks to Holy Smokes BBQ for the good food on Saturday. One more thanks to J Michael Durbin for a great cue. If anyone needs a cue, he builds the best!” Petersen was also thrilled with her 1st-place finish. “I’ve gotten 2nd in one of these before,” Petersen said. “But this was the first time I won and I’m so excited. Magoo’s put on such a wonderful tournament and Andrew Barnsbee did an outstanding job running the tournament.”
