rowing up, I was taught that a woman’s grace and poise were what characterized her beauty. But a string of pearls and a pair of white gloves were essential, for they laid elegantly on the neck and kept a woman’s hands free from blemish.

As the First Lady of the United States, my brother’s wife was a beacon of style and grace to the women of this great nation. Her personal allure was influenced by the female designers of France, with a young CoCo Chanel at the forefront. As a family, my sisters and I strove for the refined elegance that could only be found in the upper echelons of society, and in the romantic mystique of the French culture. Our vacations to Paris and the south of France filled us with great joy and excitement- a “je nais se quoi” if you will. It is with great pride and aplomb that I invite you to join us, The Darling Women, as we continue to uphold the values of femininity, grace and charm. Yours,

Jean Kennedy Smith

woman is always courteous. She is polite, sociable and articulate. Here at Les Femmes ChĂŠris, we believe a woman deserves to be affiliated with the proper tier of her peers in an exclusively female setting. The eloquence required of a Darling Woman dictates that we as a society go through a strict invation-only process. We consider each candidate with great care and thoroughly envisage her as a part of our family.

the requirements of a darling woman are as follows: She must have recieved a university level degree {Ivy League preferred}. She must be successfully employed in an occupation that showcases her abilities. She must be an active member in her community: politically and socially. She must have an interest in the arts. She must place high importance on her personal style and pulchritude. Members of our society have recieved high honors and adulations, traveled the world, raised a family, created a masterpeice and affected change. You too can be apart of this prestigous group of women.

ur meeting place is located just south of Newport, Rhode Island. The lounge is open from noon until nine, where we serve lunch, dinner and drinks.

We congregate in this space too, for annual and bi annual events. We hold lectures, fashion premieres, art auctions and book signings. All created, curated and delegated by women on the rise. Reminiscent of the late romantic architecture of Paris, our lounge provides a private, intimate setting for women to socialize.
