What Your Child Will Be Learning The theme for the month of April is Spring. We will learn about the parts of plants and how plants grow. We will also learn about what parts of plants our vegetables come from and that we need to eat vegetables for good health. We will also be attempting vision and hearing screenings for 3 & 4 year olds. The results of these screenings will be made available to you after completed. Many of the activity papers have a P.S. (Parent Suggestions) noted on the page. These suggestions are to help you discuss work done at school and create a follow-up learning experience. If you have a young child, don't expect the activity papers to be colored. The most important things are the concepts taught, i.e. beginning sounds, shapes, number of

Talk in rhymes every once in a while, “Feed the cat. She'll like that.” It's fun to rhyme and good ear training for ending sounds. Counting to 10 can be encouraged by giving your child a pile of raisins or Cheerios or other small items and having your child count them for you.
