Greetings to my dear Rotaract Friends,

Thank you for giving me a chance to address you all. It is always a pleasure to interact with my dear Rotaract members. The Rotaract is envisioned as a launching pad for future leaders and a way to incorporate the universal values of Rotary in the younger generation.

I want to express my happiness on learning about this wonderful initiative of putting together a united publication that will showcase the activities and achievements of twenty-four different clubs. The teamwork and collaboration that you all have exhibited is a great example for everyone in District 3240 and the apt way to celebrate and observe the month of Fellowship. On behalf of the District leadership, I would like to add that we are all very excited to learn about the projects that you have all worked so hard to implement. This will be one of the biggest positives in one of the gloomiest times that the world has seen and I cannot thank you enough for the optimism, resilience, heart and endurance that you have shown.

All the best and I look forward to hearing a lot of good news from the Rotaract members in the coming months and years and so on. Regards,

My Dear Rotaractors,

All of you are incredible people, it gives me huge satisfaction to convey my heartiest congratulation and best wishes to you for “Showcase 2019-20”. It is such a great initiative taken by the Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar which makes me feel very proud as a parent to them. These steps were long overdue, because Rotaract is the vision of what Rotary must become. The continuous enthusiastic hard work of Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar repeatedly gives us reasons to be proud as their parent. A club will become vibrant when all members work jointly with their full strength and there must be good number of members. So the leaders of club should keep their view for detention of members and joining of new members.

My best wishes to all the clubs for taking part in “Showcase 2019-20”.

The coming new year will give us the opportunity to serve the society in new dimension because “Rotary Opens Opportunity” for us for the year 2020-21. The whole society is suffering with covid-19 pandemic and we have the responsibility to serve the society.

I am looking for an eventful year ahead with you all.

Rtn. Pranoy Chanda President 2019-20 Rotary Club of Dharmanagar

Dear Rotaractors!! Warm Rota Greetings!!!! It feels good to check out your club works on various services of Rotaract throughout the year. I always believe in team work, where a group of people is executing a particular motto of "Fellowship through Service" in our Rotaract platform. Well starting from the nomination of my DRR ship in the year 2017-18, it was well versed that with various hurdles, i accepted things that was obvious as because without a competition for a chair is like ice cream without a cherry, but when it is served with a cherry, the ice cream looks more beautiful and to taste nothing more than a delicious. As of now, a DRRship is not served only for a year. It is served more than that. First as DRR (N) then DRR (E) and then as DRR in his serving term. Two and half years, well this is more than a DRR can thought of himself. I am emotionally pening down about this initiative took by the most Vibrant Club and of course Best Club in first six months Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar. An initiative of show casing the best projects of each Club. Its just simply defines the promoting of District 3240, in what benchmark your hard work has provided in this term of 2019-20. District 3240 has completed its 29th Rotaract District Assembly hosted by Rotaract Club of Rongali Guwahati, 30th Rotaract District Installation cum District tour hosted by Rotaract Club of Malda Central, Zonal Meets, Multi District Service projects, IDYE, and of course a benchmark of more than 200 rotaractors after many years the 30th Rotaract District Conference cum Assembly hosted by Rotaract Club of Silchar. One of my favourite and dream event was Rota Carnival hosted by three clubs of our District 3240-Rotaract Club of Rongali Guwahati, Silchar and G.C. College Silchar. It was for the first time in 3240 to happen two district events at a same place, many many thanks to the Clubs for initiating such events. District 3240 has initiated some landmarks district projects like Membership Seminar, Literacy Growth and 2 Happy Schools, Installation of Sanitary Pad Machines, Polio plus projects etc. Overall the membership growth of District 3240 is 1422 as of count till March 2020 by Reviving and opening of New Clubs. The District Council of 2019-20 has adopted a service projects for Celebrating International Women's day "Shakti"Self defence Workshop where it has been recognised as Happy Moment Appreciation by RSAMDIO to Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar. The events was successfully conducted by many Clubs. I always praise the Club Presidents of 2019-20 long with their team to successfully completed their term in grand way. You guys will always be remembered. See Rotaractors, there are lots of things to share about the term 201920, but it cant be done in message. Well thats all my dear friends. We are in a verge of fighting COVID-19. Stay safe and protected. Thanks to Rotaract District Council 2019-20 for their enourmous support.

Rotaract Builds Strength Regards

Rtr. Deepjyoti Das District Rotaract Representative. RID-3240. 09678165903.

24th June 2020 President Rtr. Sandip and Editorial Team of E-Magazine: Dear Team: It is my pleasure to learn that 24 Rotaract Clubs have come together to showcase their projects of the year 2019 - 2020 through an E-Magazine. “24” is just not a number but shows the “unity” among the clubs coming together and I always believe everything can be achieved when “WE ARE TOGETHER”. This magazine will inspire many Rotaractors and Rotaract Clubs to do good in the community and will connect to the world. Rotaract is an energetic strength for good. An amalgamation of young people makes up a strong team so as your E-Magazine with 24 clubs. As we all know that June is designated “Rotary Fellowships Month” to recognize the importance of international fellowship and goodwill among Rotarians and Rotaractors with similar recreational and vocational interests, promote increased participation in fellowships, and increase understanding of this program. This E-Magazine will bring about the goodwill and fellowship among you all. My best wishes to the publication and the team. I am sure this magazine will “Connect Rotaract to the World”.

Jesse Owens once said - "Find the good. It's all around you. Find it, SHOWCASE it and you'll start believing in it."

Rightly said, we need to search for what is good, treasure the goodness and finally start trusting that it is truly moral and should be appreciated. Kudos to Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar for taking up the marvelous initiative to compile an E- magazine to disport the best ventures of the Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3240.

It's high time, that Rotary is focusing on Public Image and so as Rotaract - we must exhibit the noble assignments that is being achieved by Rotaractors round the Rotary Year and make the mass believe in the virtuous tasks that we perform.

I congratulate the Team 2019-20 of RAC Dharmanagar to take up first of a kind project to display, not only the activities of their own club but at time same time and platform, the best works of all the other clubs. The club has already set a benchmark in RID 3240 by organising some of the most notable and innovative projects and thereby winning the deserving Best Club of the District Award at the 30th Rotaract District Conference, inspite of being a such new born baby club. Hats off to the leaders of the Club, distinctively the President, Rtr Sandip Das for making Dharmanagar a known face in the Rotaract District today.

Thank you for allowing me a space in this piece of showcased E- Paper. I take the platform to convey my unfeigned wishes for the days to come and for all the righteous deeds which you mount in the near future. Stay Safe and Healthy.

Warm Rota greetings! Dear mates, I always find it an achievement in itself to be a part of this Rota-domain. And firstly, I would like to thank each one for trusting me throughout my journey so far as a rotaractor, a Chairman(ROTARY's SIX AREAS OF FOCUS PROMOTION), a ZRR(19-20), a DSA(20-21) and a DRR(21-22). Friends, it is not only the abilities we are bestowed with matters; it is also how we route our abilities to provide the best service we can render from us to all. And what can be more inspiring than writing for the ever first magazine release namely SHOWCASE 2019-20 of our district D3240. I would forward my heartiest regards to my energetic fellows from Rotaract Club of Dharmanagar for initialising a catchy idea. This magazine will surely help us to get a bird's eye view of how enthusiastically all the clubs across the whole district gave their best. Moreover, the works of a tenure or to run all the clubs in a smooth jurisdiction is a tough thing but any word of appreciation would be less for our DRR(19-20)- DRR Rtr. Deepjyoti Das for slaying his tenure so well. Congratulations mate! Lastly, what can be more than a gift in this hard pandemic time and address a fellowship month, i.e. June with this magazine. So, ending with all best wishes for this effort and great endeavor.

Yours always and ever loving,

Rtr. Rajarshi Sinha DRRN || RID-3240

The Rotaract Club of Gangtok Hills personally believes that even a simple project with great love resonates a deep impact. For this year the project closest to our heart is the library inauguration project based on sustainable engineering. Every year we construct a library in a remote school by collecting funds through a mega fund raiser event. The theme for this year's library project was education alongside sustainability. Where students don't have to force themselves to read and write. Where they can be totally free to experiment new things. An environment which does not constrain the child's creativity, where learning is no more a burden. A library breaking away from the stereotypical model and embracing innovation.

The other project that the Club did was an Educative session on Women's Health and Hygiene under the banner of We for Her3.0. The extra effort this time by the club was not just educating the girls but at the same time interacting the boys in school and understanding mensuration from the perspective of boys. More importantly this was done to introduce a culture of understanding among the students and eradicating the stereo typical taboo of mensuration at the grassroot level. To create an open society of love and respect for each other regardless of differences in gender. -

Rotaract Club Of Guwahati Luit, RID 3240 took a milestone step towards a new beginning. #Mukti, an Anti-drug campaign which was inaugurated by the Honorable Governor Of Assam, Shri Jagdish Mukhi Ji. Mukti was very much supported by so many other dignitaries! The project chairman was Late Rtr. Shivam Saraf who gave all his efforts and energy in launching and looking through the campaign for its success and it's impact. Unfortunately, We have lost him very recently but his service and his determination will never be forgotten. The target is to have an impact on 10,000 children via our campaigns and do our level best to make Assam Drug Free. Our club conducted 2 anti drug sessions in the rural areas all around Guwahati with a goal to enlighten the young kids about what impact drugs has on body and life.

Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit, RID 3240 took an initiative during the dreadful Assam Floods of 2019 and took a step to get contributions and donations for the same. The club managed to collect and purchase materials and food (as per demand) , the amount total of which may sum up around 2.5 lakh rupees and sent consignments in four different locations, namely: Palashbari, Kaziranga, Hajo and Kamarpur Basti, Mayong. The club generated all of the goods via donations in cash(via bank) , donations in physical forms, and contributions by friends and clubs from different districts for the cause. The impact was great, but the deed was of necessity, and that is what gave us a lot of pleasure and relief. -

Learning is not the product of teaching, learning is the product of the activity of the learners. Enhancing the method of learning for greater benefit of the students has always been a priority. With this vision in our heart and mind, we the "RAC of Guwahati YUVA" successfully carried out the project named " SHIKSHA" on 27th September, 2019 in Khanapara Government Junior Basic School, Assam. The project included donation of essential school items like white board, dusters and markers followed by an interaction of the club members with the students and a lesson on the importance of health, hygiene and sanitation. A small step towards encouraging better education to the future leaders of the country.

Most of the people in an old age home have been facing many health related problems . And most of the members of our "RAC of Guwahati YUVA" are physiotherapy students (3rd year and 4th year ) . So ,We thought that it would be a very useful project through which we can help the people , living in the old age home . And it also would help them to stay physically fit ..

That's why on 18 August 2019 , under supervision of Dr. Mantu Paul ( PT , IPDRR of district 3240 ) with our parents club " Rotary Clubs of Guwahati Smart City " we had started this project .. And from that day we are doing successfully this project on 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month alternatively in 1. Mother old age home . 2. Helping hand old age home .
