Rotary Interna onal district 3240 lies in the North Eastern part of the Indian subcon nent between Nepal, China, Mayanmar and Bangaladesh. To the north it is bordered by the mighty Himalayas and on the southern end is the Bay of Bengal. District 3240 was bifurcated from R.1.Dist. 3290 in the year 1990-91 and presently encompasses N.E.States of India. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and parts of West Bengal and Bhutan. There are 35 Rotaract Clubs and 93 Rotary Club in our District. In tune with the district's staggering topographical varia ons is its cultural diversity - the result of the coexistence of a number of ethnic group, religions, languages, races and cultures. The magniďŹ cent mountain ranges, hill sta on par excellence in Darjeeling, Shillong, Gangtok, Kalimpong, Aizawl, Imphal etc., wildlife sanctuaries of Kaziranga, Manas, jaldapara, Orang and Pabhoi, all combine to make this District a fascina ng region. This District has produced two nobel laureates, Rabindranath Tagore and Amartya Sen from Bolpur Shan niketan.

Our Zone 3 consists of 3 States of North-east, Tripura, Mizoram and Assam's Barak Velly Region. It has 8 vibrant Clubs with several enthusias c rotaractors. Among these 8 Rotaract Clubs, 7 are from Barak Velly, Assam, where 6 Clubs from Silchar and 1 Club from Hailakandi. --1. Rotaract Club of Silchar 2. Rotaract Club of GC college 3. Dear Swapnil & Sandip,
Dear Rotaractors,
………….. And what a year it will be! Henry David Thoreau wrote – “The world is a “CANVAS” to our imagina on”. What a great way to think about possibili es to strengthen & grow Rotaract District 3240 this year which is filled with unlimited and endless possibili es and opportuni es. I am very pleased to pen down my “Man ki Bat” in this Special Inaugural Edi on of Zonal News Le er series “Canvas” which is being exclusively launched for Zone 3 by our respected ZRR & CO – ZRR. I am sure “Canvas” would set the benchmark for other Zonal Leaders & would inspire to do the same. I would like to congratulate the duo for taking up this fantas c ini a ve & wishing them Good Luck for the endeavour.
With warm seasons Gree ngs, first of all i believe all of you are safe in this pendemic situa on of COVID 19 and would request all of you to be protec ve and safe.
Friends, we have officially begun our journey under the theme “ME TO WE - OneTeam-One Vision-OneMission”, as we step in to a very turbulent year 2020-21 with Covid – 19 on Board along with a Special Guest we have addi onal responsibility towards our community & society at large. Let us all come together as “ONE” to realise our dream of #Brand3240 & #HighPerformance3240. This is indeed a special year to show our bravery, crea vity & innova veness through our service & projects, proving that we are commi ed to real & impac ul service. We have to prove the worth of our Organisa on during this pandemic me as the whole community & society is looking upto us. The District & Club’s need’s to play their part well by standing out as Covid Warriors in such mes. So, I request all the clubs to ac vely take up the first District Ini a ve –RAKSHITAM - Guarding India’s COVID -19 warriors with great spirits & make it a grand success, which I am sure all Clubs would do so. Also reques ng all the Clubs to complete their Club Assembly & Installa on as per their convenience by end of July.
Pen down something of Rotaractors is always been special for me and that too for Zone III is like icen on a Cake. Now situa on has changed and opportuni es has evolved for the Rotaractors and as a Rotaractors if you can involve with this movement more then you all will learn and you life and Career will be in different level. My experience as a Rotaractor for more then a decade helped me to come to this level. And i strongly believe this organiza on will helpfull for you all to grow your leadership skills and help you in you respec ve fields.

Happy new Rota year one and all!
Hello Rotaractors,
CANVAS is the special edi on of Zonal E-newsle er of our Zone3 where we are trying to delineate our zone with the help of 8 spirited club's voluntary par cipaon. This is our 1st step towards zonal Newsle er and hopefully I will be able to stand up to the du es and keep our DRR's faith as he has appointed me as the CoZRR. Thanks to all the par cipa ng clubs for responding to the call, thanks to RAC Dharmanagar for taking the ini a ve to do the special edi on of CANVAS. I hope that each and every club will gradually par cipate in this ini a ve voluntarily and we will be able to publish Canvas every month.
As we embark on this new decade of 2020, the Rota year has been whistling hard in this journey for an ul mate des na on of "ME to WE - One Team - One Vision - One Mission." The routes we take in this corona pandemic circumstances, are not easy, so let's all e up ght and run our trains on the tracks of serving the society at our best as we have been doing so far. I would like to congratulate and show sincere love to all my colleagues in the zone who broached the intensity to fulfil their commitments to work under such tough days and stood united with one mission -to serve all. Moreover, I would like to wish all the luck for the upcoming tenure to the throne heads who will carry the flagships and march ahead with all the members. Let the clubs install their new office bearers with all concerned bindings prevailing for the corona pandemic! Lastly, I would end asking for all love and support exchange rituals to be maintained from me to all the clubs across my zone to share freely whatever crosses the paths of my strong Rotaract fraternity.
We Have tried to put a brief descrip on of zone 3 with the serving President's contact details, I hope that it will be helpful for the zone and for the district too. President Cordial Rotary-Rotatact Gree ngs and A Very Happy New Rota Year everyone. "Every Canvas has a journey of its own" The zonal e-newsle er "CANVAS" will portray the journey of our Zone 3. I am extremely glad to be the in the editorial desk on behalf of my club, Rotaract club of Dharmanagar. We are very much fortunate that our club has got the opportunity to give editorial representa on of Zone -3's E-newsle er in its Special Edi on.. Thanks to ZRR & COZRR -- the Movers and Shakers of CANVAS for their encouragement and faith regarding the editorial responsibility. Special thanks to DRR, DRCC and Zonal mates for their support. This e-newsle er will make our inter-zonal bond more strong and obviously it will upli the face of zone 3 too. CANVAS will exacerbate the unity of the Rotaractors of the zone-3.

Rotaract Club of Gc college Igni ng Dreams Into Reality Holding the Rotary Interna onal logo in one hand, and the nip of a pen in another, fearless and bold, wri ng its own future. The nip represents ideas, visions, poten als for serving the society in its best way and providing greater heights to the development of a society. The fire represents the passion embracing the Rotary wheel which is referred to as "The Mark of Excellence" while reaching millions of people The human figure represents us "The Rotarators of G.C College”.
Rotaract Club of SMCH In the logo of our Club the 3 people are held together under a common hand which is being placed inside a heart shaped stethoscope, at one end of the stethoscope there is beats of lifeline. The 3 people denotes that we members of our club which are coloured in green, blue, yellow. Here the green represents tranquility, good luck and health, blue symbolizes serenity, stability, inspira on, or wisdom: that the members rely on one another. Yellow is the color of happiness and op mism, of enlightenment and crea vity and tells us about our poten ality be it in sunshine or in spring. We the members are held together under a common hand coloured in sapphire deno ng wisdom and royalty, prophecy and divine favor showing hope and faith for one another. The stethoscope shaped in the form of lifeline and heart is coloured in indigo as Service to humanity is one of the strengths of the color indigo. Powerful and dignified, indigo conveys our integrity and deep sincerity. It reflects our devo on, wisdom and to work with fairness and impar ality.

Rotaract Club of Silchar The Rotaract Club of Silchar's logo consists of1. The Rotary wheel 2. Seven people holding hand in hand. 3. The club details The Rotary wheel at the centre represents that the club is a part of the Rotary interna onal and follows all the motos and visions of the Rotary Interna onal. The seven people holding hand in hand surrounding the Rotary wheel represents team work and friendship. The one more lady in the logo signifies that the club promotes women empowerment and embraces inclusiveness and diversity. The club details at the bo om of the logo signifies branding of the club. The red colour of the logo represent a pioneering spirit and leadership quali es promo ng ambi on and determina on by spreading love and compassion.
Rotaract Club of Assam University A logo is not merely an image but a representa on of what our club is and the aspira ons we strive for. Our logo represents these very aspira ons of upholding the values of the Rotaract movement hand in hand encircled within the Rotaract wheel binding us into unified service. The central emblem of the logo is the emblem of our university which features the mighty Barak flowing across the lands of the Barak valley, paying homage to the land and river which has bore our burden for long and reminding us of our duty to now serve it. As students we are devoted to the pursuit of knowledge and the rays which spread its light over the lands, are represented in the emblem symbolically with us standing on their shoulders to further its cause. I like to think the four avenues of Rotaract exist in our emblem for those with keen eyes. The devo on to community and thus community service is evident in the community formed by the members standing in a circle holding each other up, the rays of knowledge hence professional development is evident in the central emblem, the club is represented by the symbolical presence of the members and our devo on to Rotaract and spreading out, upholding the wheel represents the will to perform interna onal service. The logo for me breathes of liveliness and is in its own way, a member of our club.

Rotaract Club of AK CHANDRA LAW COLLEGE In our club Logo we have the Rotary Interna onal District Code 3240 as we are a part of it. The district is one of the largest Rotary districts in the world and encompasses nine states of India – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and West Bengal. We also have Rotary Interna onal symbol because we belong to this fraternity. The wheel has its own defini on that defines “Civiliza on, movement and service work in ac on”. The wheel also signifies “Worker and not an Idler” and the colour of our logo is to increase the harmony, inner peace and approachability in our society and also to increase the universal love towards each other and which is reflected by its colour nature and forma on. Rotaract Club of AKCLC was formed in the year 2018, July. It is primarily a student driven body of A. K. Chanda Law College Silchar, with constant support and encouragement of the Rotarians. The object of this club is to work for the be erment of communi es and making an impact on the environmental, culture or social arena that we live in but above all these the main aim of this club is to serve for the poor & help the poor. At present there are 25 members in the club and we work together towards crea ng responsible youth. The club has conducted and has been a part of various projects highligh ng youth awareness, social issue, and community causes. The club has its aim to achieve its credit in terms of innova ve programmes and projects in the areas of educa on, environment, and human excellence and so on. Knowing how to work well with a team is an essen al skill for any career. Being a student’s organiza on teaches you how to do this by pu ng you in situa on where you are required to take advice from others, as well as give your own. Joining a student’s organisa on helps to build your network & can provide valuable skills. Another great benefit of student organiza on is that you get the opportunity to network. Mee ng new students, making connec ons, and building rela onships will all help down the line when you are looking for a job. As you’re all a part of the same organiza on, you know the people you’re mee ng have at least a few of the same interests as you, so their connec ons will be valuable.

Zonal targets 1. We will try to accomplish the Club Installa on either virtually or physically, of all the 8 clubs of Zone 3 within 31st July, obeying the government guidelines. 2. We will publish the zonal e-newsle er every month. 3. We are trying to set up more united zone 3 and every month we will showcase some of the best projects of the zone. 4. As there is no zonal editor, we will invite each club sequen ally every month to take the responsibility voluntarily of the editorial part of the E-newsle er CANVAS, where Club President and Club Editor of that very club will be displayed as an editorial team and their home club's name as Publishing Club for that very E-Newsle er Edi on. 5. We also want the individual branding of each club, as well as the branding of the district theme, Me TO WE as much as possible on social media and other pla orms. 6. Zonal clubs will try to accomplish the ďŹ rst District project "RAKSHITAM - Guarding Indian's COVID - 19 Warriors-" before 31st.
