Project description I have been particpitating the team as a lead designer for Panorama Residence which is an ongoing

project.

It’s

a

5-star

hotel

residence apartment project in Doha, Qatar. The innovative and varied palette of materials and color schemes run throughout the project eventually creating different experiences for the visitors in each and every zone of the hotel. The

project

of

ments,Town Houses, and Penthouses with total 458 units of various studio, 1 BR, 2BR. Public areas consist of All Day Dining, F&B Outlets(2), Meeting Rooms, Board Rooms, Gym, Spa outdoor terraces, and amenities.

HOTEL PROJECT APARTMENTS DUABIA-UAE Project description I have participated in the Interior Design conceptual presentation for the Iconic Hotel Apartments Project consisting of 3 individual towers.An organic process was developed that influences every element of interior theme with results tailored to meet client’s exacting requirements complied with the support of innovative materials and concepts. Components consist of 3500 Units with includes main entrance, reception & lobby, Public Corridors, Atrium & Lounges, Studios,1,2,3 BR Apartments, Duplex Apartments, CafÊs, Restaurants, Health Clubs and Swimming Pools. My keep responsibilities were to develop mod boards, select innovative materials, enhance concepts, develop contemporary presentation styles and present it to the client.

Village Circle, Dubai. The project consists of

B+G+2P + 22+R Floors with 25264 sqm built-up area. The project has 138 residential units with 4 types of 1-bedroom apartments and 3 types of 2-bedroom apartments.

PENT HOUSE ,LIVING LEGEND UAE

As a Senior Designer; worked on the Penthouses for commercial purposes in living legends Dubai is designed with elegant improvisation with luxurious apartment theme in contemporary style. The concept was based to create a cozy, yet luxurious interior project with innovative features. The living and dining room design has a very cozy and concise character. To create a wonderful feeling of warmth and home comfort, warm colors and soft tones of wood were implemented into the interiors. Each room in the apartment has its own vibrant character. The bedroom interior design differs with softness, tenderness, and warmth, the large comfortable bed with a high headboard as the single piece is a symbol of pure luxury.

As a Designer; worked on the architecture and interior designer concept. The project consists of the contemporary theme for external and interiors with a monochromatic slant certainly have their place in contemporary design. By introducing the bold use of forms in external and bright colors in the interior a coordinated theme was developed.

My key jobs were to lead the project for all space planning material selections and working drawings. From project inception to site execution, client handling was my responsibility



GOVERNMENT COMPETITION PROJECTS I have been part of a design team in participating in governmental competition projects for various scale projects as described below. Dubai Heart Theme Park consisting of world records for the highest water slides, largest waterfall and so many states of the art activities such as open-air theater, elevated park, and floating restaurants. I have participated as a designer in the design competition for City Landmark designs and won the second prize for this prestigious project for Hatta and Marmoum.

DELTA EMIRATES CONTRACTING HEAD OFFICE


I participitated as a designer for the design of Delta Emirates Contracting Company LLC (DECC) Head Office. The office is located in Business Bay, Dubai; with the built-up area of 1400 sq meter.

My deliverables consisted of the design study for the space planning for all the requirements and specified the interior surface finishes, built-in joinery, decorative ironmongery and selection of sanitary ware, decorative lights and furniture according to the modern style for offices as an Interior Designer.

CONNECTIVE BRIDGE TREATMENT

Exposed the existence concept has been used as a theme. For finishing material wood, stone and glass has been used. Building thermal performance has been used as a design tool by using winter passive strategies, insulating materials, day light enhancement, natural ventilation single sided with mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system and renewable energy resources have been incorporated in design to reduce rely on grid energy.


Sunderland Royal Hospital Sustainable refurbishment strategies

STRATEGY1:LIGHT TOUCH INTERVENTION

Sunder Royal hospital was constructed in 1853 and later got several expansion in construction till 2009. The concept was to refurbish the main wing of the hospital with sustainable technologies to achieve the target of health technical memorandum 07-07; sustainable health and social care buildings memorial targets of energy consumption 55-65 GJ/100 m3 and 131 kgCO2/m2 emission targets of CIBSE TM46. Moreover, due to rise in the intensity of future weather conditions; integrated design strategy were finalized with the results of simulation in future weather conditions in 2050 and 2080. Design strategies were developed in three steps and explained further.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE. BASE CASE

KEY DESCRIPTION

Percentage of people dissatisfied increases due to higher temperatures (future climate scenario).SouthWest oriented wards show an average PPD increase of 72% by 2080 scenario. North-East oriented wards show a variable increase by 2080 scenario, from +52.53% (first floor) to +63.99% (fourth floor).

Light touch intervention strategy ; reduction of temporary dislocation of clinical activities , envelope improvement and building technolgies service which are suitable for low budget intervention .However, the results produced limited improvement.


In depth intervention strategy ; involved higher operational impact ,addition of infrastructure such as double skin facade , green roof structure and usage of renwable energy resources .Thus, the results produced larger improvement.

2080 DSY

Current scenario: Total energy consumption is reduced from 567.35 kWh/m2to 287.75 kWh/m2 (reduction of 49.29%). What means that, according to comercial data, £99,631 are saved in gas bills and £15,571 are saved in electricity bills (total saving of £115,202).CO2 emissions has also been cut, from 150.52 KgCO2/m2 per year to 95.14 KgCO2/m2 per year. So 19,450 less trees would be needed to absorb Hospital´s emissions. Future scenario:Improvements in 2050 DSY and 2080 DSY are similar regarding the order of magnitude.

Indoor thermal comfort is achieved during the whole year.However, there is a reduction of hours above 28 ºC (CIBSE standard of over heating) in 2050 DSY (14.66 %), improvement in 2080 DSY is despicable (0.36%).

BUILDING PERFORMANCE :INTEGERATED SOLUTION

Current scenario:External wall and roof upgrading showed the higher impact on reducing energy demand. Future scenario:Decrease of energy consumed by heating and reduction in decrease of CO2 emissions, even at the expense of indoor thermal comfort.

Ligt touch intervention reduces by 72.89% the base case energy c onsumption. However, this huge improvement is reduce to half when studying future weather climate.In depth intervention improves the energy performance, reducing by 90.06% the base case energy demand. Improvements in future scenarios are similar to base case (reduction of 92.85% by 2050 DSY and reduction of 93.85% by 2080 DSY).

E-11 CAMPUS This building is located in E-11 sector of Islamabad; a project of The City School. Total covered area of this project is 5400 square meter, its a five storey. building with 950 capacity of students. This project initial concept was re -conceptualized from initial devloped theme .Produced all working drawings with my draughtspersons and technical team. I have also worked on services drawings with consultants and supervised the construction as Project Architect.



KOHAT CAMPUS

KOHAT Campus; project of The City School. Total covered area of this project is 4415 square meter, it’s a four storey building with 750 capacity of students. I developed the concept of this project and produced complete working drawings along with the coordination of engineers and monitored complete construction till finish. External finish is of sand stone and rock wall .Amenities include of labs, multipurpose hall and library.




Residential SELECTED PROJECTS


FARM HOUSE


KEY DESCRIPTION:

This project has been designed by a team of designers; my job was to design the 500

square meter house completely and assist landscape architect in master planning and landscape design. House has been design on the base of colonial style architecturally and for interior finishes on walls the blend of external and internal finishing material has been used. For ceiling wood has been used as a finishing material in various combination of finishing. Before joining the Post graduate course it was nearly at last stage of finishing whereas till that stage I completely inspected the site with contractors and coordinated with engineers.



RESIDENTIAL DESIGN My aim is to design the process of designing house as a holistic concept. The desire of designing the level of finishes and craftsmanship that fulfill the desire of client and gives pleasure and supports to their lifestyle. I have designed 105 square meter to 850 square meter covered area residential houses as an architect from concept level to executed stage. Some sample of residential designs are shown.

Mr. Sohail residence, cost of the project is £0.5 m and the building’s footprint is 1,000 square meter .It consist on five bed rooms, terraces and various living areas. Standout spaces include the double height stair hall, steel-framed spiral stairs with glass and steel balustrades, structural elements which have been exposed but barely impinge on the spacious and transparent feel of the building’s interior.

GYMBOREE GYMBOREE franchise in Cairo;worked

as a Project architect. The design theme has been based on design codes of GYMBOREE. This project involved the addition/ alteration work in layout and complete interior designing services. Produced all drawings,materials specification,coordinated with engineers and supervised the site inspection.



I have done interiors of new-build homes partially and remodeling of existing houses, as well as full residential interior design and decoration service. My aim was to create both a highly-functional and high impact space, which would add real quality to the living experience and be able to cope with the built environment. The overall feel of my interior design is contemporary , high-end treatments ,blend of external and internal finishing material and dramatic effects through use of light.Some sample of residential interior works are dispalyed.

in Lahore, Pakistan combines a formal and informal entertaining area with a dance floor, as well as with bar area. Tucked away behind an automatic sound proof door links the home theatre area which is sound proof corner with options for watching movies in 3D.Areas have been seggregated with the flooring detailing

This auditorium was designed by a team of sound engineers and

architects. My responsibilities were to work on internal designing, finishing material selection in the coordination of sound engineers. A detailed designing of acoustic wall paneling and floor designing drawings were produced. Some sample of working drawings are shown.
